Esme's POV
Before the Attack

Where...where...where was it?
The antidote, the cure, I wanted to find it, I needed to. My husband had left me and maybe this would make him want me back.

According to the research I'd found it had to be around here somewhere. There, behind the beakers. I knocked them out of the way and grabbed the vial. My nail popped the cork off the top and the thick liquid slid down my throat.

I lay down in his chair, his office so warm I could melt. My eyes shut and I fell asleep.

"Eungh", I felt weaker and...a heartbeat, my own. Something I hadn't felt in hundreds of years. I couldn't believe it. My own husband hadn't told me of this cure that he's made, something to restore my life as a normal human being.

It hadn't worked all the way though, I still had the look of a vampire, the beauty and the strength. And then I though of a little something that had happened not to long ago when Carlisle was weak.

POSITIVE

It was Positive. I was half-human and it could happen. Tears came down my face. I didn't want to go through with the plan anymore, no I was going to have a baby.

"Emmett!" his body was by my side almost immediately, my eyes flickered back and he eyed the test I held in my hands.
"Mom? How...did?" I shook my head and put his hand to my chest.
"He's had a cure all along, it's his Emmett. Please, help me."
