Spike was a predator and just went for the kill with any chance he got, but Angelus, he waited for the opportune moment to strike. and he struck hard. He was so cunning and magnificently evil. i know its a little dimented but that's why he is so freakin awesome!

I'm with you mandapanda. Those are all the reasons I love Angelus. Spike says that Angelus only picks fights he knows he can win- but that doesn't matter to me. I love how Angelus plans everything out and torments his victim before he strikes. Like Cordelia said, he's even smarter than Angel even though Angel has all of his memories.

This question actually has been asked before. Many times. Spike is my favorite character, always has been. He's a very complex character, and is full of contradiction. He's got a cocky facade but on the inside is very insecure. He'll do anything for the woman he loves. He can be selfish, and he can be selfless. He's very perceptive and can get the the core of what any other character is. He's the most unique character on the show, in that he's the outsider, who know's most of the other character's better than they know themselves.

He know's when they're hurting, so that he can, depending on his mood and who he's talking to, make them feel worse, or make them feel better, and yet for all his perceptivness of others, he has an inability to see things when it comes to himself. He'll protect you if he loves you and die for you. He's the character that went on more of a journey than any of the others, from his road to being evil and in love with Drusilla, to relucant ally of the scoobies, to finally a hero in his own right and of his own choosing, changing for the love of a woman that might never love him back.

I cry everytime he leaves.

As in their evil personas? Definitely Angelus, he was more twisted and artistic, Spike was a lovesick puppy. That whole thing bothered me. Although I liked Spike more season 5 and up. And just to mention, I am a Spuffy fan.
