I WAS a massive Spike-or-no-one-else fan, but after seven years I'm not really all that bothered by the whole Spike vs. Angel thing.

If I had to pick now, I'd probably still pick Spike and Buffy. Only because who doesn't love sex-scenes that involve falling down buildings. Plus, they're insanely awkward around other people and let's face it - we all enjoy the awkward.

Spike or Angel, either way you go, PLEASE do not be going Parker or Riley. And if you do go with one of them - go with Parker... I'd rather you be a creep who likes men who sleep around, than a creep who somehow managed to not hate Riley.

I agree, JulienBangel. Angel as romantically and Giles as fatherly. Whoever put Giles up there? That's kinda perverted. That's a total father/daughter relationship.

It is Spike all the way in my opinion. He loved her and fought against his evil nature for her. Did soulles Angel ever do that? No. Spike felt guilt over what he almost did and went to fight for his soul, he went through trials of torture to become a man she deserves. Did soulles Angel ever do that? No. Spike was there for Buffy as a lover and as a friend. Buffy wanted him as a man in S6 and as a shoulder in S7, she realized that Spike is the one who will always be around, who is not gonna leave when things get hard like Angel. The true hero is not the one who leaves, it is the one who stays. It's Spike all the way. Spuffy turned into something truly beautiful closer the ending of the series.

I have nothing against Angel as a guy though. Just not as a love interest for Buffy, I'm not a BA fan.
