I've done all the ranting I can about that episode, I'm all ranted out, I think it's clear what problems I'd have with the lack of apology/resolution.

I wish one of the original scoobies had the final line. Dawn grew on me, but I don't think she was anywhere near a good enough character to deserve the last line. I'd really have preferred one of the original scoobies or maybe Faith.
With the Turok-han I just assume The first made the original one stronger like he did with Caleb, to try to kill Buffy sooner or maybe intimidate her, but still, an explination would've been nice.

By the way, don't just add a character not dying unless you truly believe them living would have made the episode better. Like I loved Spike so his death was sad, but I think the episode was better with his death as it was so moving. So you can add you wish he or any other character who was killed had lived, but only do if you really think the episode would be better if they hadn't died.

Joss even said that the Turok Han was all stronger at first and then whoops anyone can kill them. He laughed and said he didn't care.

Okay, I chose this option because I am perfectly fine with the others. I think it's fine that Dawn had the last line. I would've been fine with anyone having the last line, except Andrew, Robin, or one of the new slayers. Although having someone like Willow, Xander, or Giles do it that would be nice, I was perfectly okay with Dawn.

The turok-han: In Showtime you saw Buffy kick the uber-vamp's ass, and she said: "See? Dust. Just like the rest of them." Or something like that :) Faith, Spike, Buffy, Robin, and even Giles could take care of themselves, as well as the new slayers. They all have Buffy-Faith power now remember? Anya, Andrew, Dawn, & Xander all had swords. That turok-han just isn't a good sword fighter, okay? And even though what I just said was kinda pointless, and it didn't even prove anything about what I was trying to explain, let's just say all of the scoobies took magic medicine from Will to make them sronger :)

I REALLY didn't like how the Empty Places wasn't resolved. Buffy just saves the potentials and everything is okay? There wasn't even like a welcome back little scene, where everyone apologizes and Buffy accepts, and then they move on. They couldn't even have that! The only scene that even hints at this is the last little huddle of the original scoobies. I sort of consider that their moment. But even then it's more a "Look how far we've come" instead of "I'm sorry" Anyways, I really wish they has resolved that. Even better would have been a scene where Buffy could slap Dawn, Kennedy, Rona, and Willow :)

The original plan was to have a two hour final. Pretty sure Angel may have been there for a bit longer. Similar to "Not Fade Away" we would have seen the gang live out their last day in Sunnydale. Buffy would have been contacted by The Powers That Be and given one wish. We would see Willow answer the door and Buffy holding lots of shoes Willow would act shocked at the waste of a wish on shoes then she would step aside and we would see Tara who would have been resurected and their for the final fight.

It would have been nice to have a 2 hr finale, but that's not something they could have done, they weren't given the time. It's not a fault with the show as they weren't the ones who chose not to give it the time it deserved (stupid networks.Grr)
A scene with Tara would have been lovely (and would have let me finally enjoy a s7 Willow scene, because Kennedy ruined every Willow moment for me) but Amber Benson was unwilling to return to the show. In a way I think it's better, her death is more touching and meaningful knowing we'll never see her again.

Oh and Spikes_girl, if Buffy slapped people she has to get Anya too! I couldn't stay mad at her what with the death and all, but I found what she said most galling. 'You didn't earn it' grrrr. Like someone else on Fanpop said (sorry can't remember who) Buffy should have replied "me fighting for my life every night, killing my lover, dying for you ungrateful (BLEEPS) that was me earning it!"

Oh can I change my answer?I would have loved a completely ridiculous(sp?) reference to Buffys mad jumping skills in "Welcome To The Hellmouth". That would have made the episode perfect in my opinion.

I wish we couldve had a two hour episode and i wouldve loved Tara to come back. but whatcha gonna do? The other things that was kinda irking was the unresoved empty places issues. i agree with everyone. the least they could do was apologize.

I didnt really mind the unresolved-ness of "Empty Places" as it showed how dire the situation was. They just kinda of accepted Buffy back because they realised how wrong and stupid they were.

To me it seemed like the battle at the end was really short. The frist was this all power thing and it could be defeated in 20 mins! Weaton needed more time. He made the network a lot of money.

I'm pretty happy with Chosen on the whole. I always felt like the unresolved personal issues from Empty Places were pushed aside to show that things like that aren't important in battle. It's about the mission.

I do wish Angel had gotten more screen time, and should have been in the final battle. No matter how you feel about the various romantic pairings on the show, Angel was there at the start and should have been a bigger part of the finale. After all, he's one of the PTB's Champions...seems like they'd want him where the action is.

The only other thing missing from the finale? Oz.

nicely said AgentCoop, i do wish angel had more of a role in the final battle and i too, would have liked to see oz but i dunno how he would play into the story, i also agree with kitkat on how quickly the final battle ended it felt like it needed to spread out abit longer though the dire nature and the danger of the battle was felt with numerous new slayers dying and anya, with everything else sits ok with me.
