Brooke Davis and Lucas Scott will have something that LP never will and that's unconditional love. The first three seasons is what most BL fans focus on, so I wanted to write this article to draw some attention to the 'forgotten' season(s) and to the fact that even though Brooke and Lucas broke up, they never really let each other go.


I love you Lucas, and I probably always will.
- This is the moment. Brooke has realized that she could never make Lucas let her all the way in and that love just isn't enough.

Go! It's okay .. go!
- Brooke wants Lucas to be happy, even if that means it's with her best friend Peyton.

Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday and i'm not sure she even knows it yet.
- This scene shows Brooke crying. She's afraid of starting over .. she doesn't want to leave High School and Tree Hill behind. Lucas shows her the words that he's written. It's all about how he see's the true beauty and amazing strength in her. It gives her the strength and hope she needs to move on with life.

God Brooke .. it is so good to see you.
Yeah.
- Lucas has just let Peyton go. His dreams have come true for a second time .. and the girl he orginially wanted standing next to him shows up.

Lucas Scott is going to change the world someday and he doesn't even know it yet.
- After Lucas kisses her, Brooke tells him about starting her company to fix her broken heart and she repeats his words back to him to give him some of that strength and hope.

Hi Luke.
Brooke Davis! Oh I missed you!
I missed you.
- It's been two years since Brooke and Lucas have seen each other, and they greet each other with huge smiles and a hug.

Brooke .. are you sure? I mean are you really sure?
Yeah. My heart is sure. This is what I want.
- Brooke came back to Tree Hill to have a family, Lucas is the first person Brooke tells.

If I wanted 'it's a little late for that' I would have called Peyton!
- Brooke called Lucas for some reassurance. Did she do the right thing? Can she really take care of someone elses baby? She knows Lucas will come through for her.

Do you think she'll like the purple monkey?
I think that she's going to love the girl that gives it to her.
- Brooke shows some insecuirty, Lucas tells her exactly what she needs to hear.

You're doing great Brooke.
You're doing great too Lucas Scott.
- Lucas reassures Brooke that she's doing a good job taking care of Angie. Despite his relationship issues (Lindsey just left him at the alter) Brooke tells Lucas that he's doing great too. She surprises him with a quick hug.


.. And she won't stop crying!
- Angie is crying, Brooke needs to finish some sketches for her clothing line. She goes to see Lucas, the one person she can really depend on.

Stay. Finish them, I don't mind.
Are you sure?
Yeah .. it's actually kind of nice.
- Lucas wants Brooke and Angie to stay the night. He likes having the company. Angie adores him .. and so does Brooke Davis. They end up falling asleep together on the couch, just like a real family.

Thank you for being here for us.
Thank you for letting me.
- Lucas went to Angie's pre-operation appointment with Brooke. He's helped Brooke take care of her. He's given Brooke a shoulder to lean or cry on.


Brooke!?!
It's okay .. she's gonna be okay!
- Lucas sees Brooke crying beside Dr. Ethan and he immediately voices his cocern. Brooke tells him that Angie is okay. Lucas gathers her up in his arms. ♥

You got my message .. I told you not to come.
I know.
She's gone Luke ..
I know.
- Brooke called Lucas and told him that Angie is going home, she also told him not to bother going to the airport. Lucas shows up for her anyway, he knows how broken-hearted Brooke is going to be. He keeps his answers simple, and concentrates on helping her get calmed down and back home.

You told me not to come to the airport, how come?
I don't like you guys to see me like this .. vulenerable.
That's how I always see you Brooke and I think it's kind of beautiful.
- Brooke doesn't like her friends to see her when she's at her most emotional. Lucas thinks it's beautiful.

We've been through a lot, me and you, but I wouldn't have made it through today or a couple other days without you .. so thanks. This is for you. *hands him the purple monkey*
- Brooke and Lucas have been through a lot together. Two relationships. An amazing friendship. They've helped each through some of the roughest moments of their lives and both of them have come out the other side, stronger because of the other.

I love you Lucas Scott, you know that?
I love you too Brooke Davis.
- Before Lucas leaves Brooke tells him that she loves him, and she wants him to know that. He loves her too.

I do love you Brooke Davis.
& I love you Lucas Davis .. Scott!
- Brooke is the only girl in his dream that he says I love you to.

What do I do Brooke?
Do whatever it takes. Just make sure they tell the story the way that you remember it.
- This time Lucas is the one going to Brooke for reassurances and advice.

Go! I will wait here.
- Brooke made Lucas a suit for his wedding. She was also the maid of honor for Peyton. If that doesn't scream 'true love' I don't know what does.
