I want a movie with just the heroine. It would be nice for some little change. =)

^Exactly. :) I don't have anything against romance, but based on what I know about Brave so far, getting a boy would just be a weak and cliché ending.

I really don't mind at all but I agree with brave_fan, it'd make a nice change if there wasn't a romantic interest with a female protagonist.

I agree with everyone here so far. Nothing bad with romance, but from what I've seen it'd be against Merida's own personality to get a romantic interest in this movie.

Don't get me wrong, I love romance. But I think for Brave, it would be best for Merida to be independent. She's not the type of girl that needs a man in her life.
Like Mongoose09 said, it would make a nice change.

Besides, the boys that shot an arrow for her hand, are either wimpy or arrogant and I would dislike the film if she ends up with one of them.

I'm getting so sick of seeing so many good characters winding up with so much love interests, it's time a cartoon character should just remain single. And I would totally like Merida forever if she didn't have a man since I don't think she needs one. And Brave doesn't look like it will be focus on that cause if it was, it be a whole other different kind of story.

She won't have one. I think she would be a good role model for me if she didn't have one.

I would like her find love...I love romance. But now I thought with Brave, it would be best for Merida to be independent. She's not the type of girl that needs a man in her life. I mean in this comic book I had, the princess-heroine save herself from a dragon. Maybe someday a love interest

It's different apart from the other Disney princesses who always got a love interest in the end-and I like it.

I'd like her have both. I hate this myth that if a girl loves a guy she gives up all her freedom. I think she deserves to have a relationship with a guy that walks beside her, not in front of her or behind her.

I'm not against her finding love, but I don't want her to become the cliche princess who becomes practically obsessed with a man. Merida is independent and strong willed, she doesn't need to be boy crazy. I was very happy that there wasn't romance in Brave, but if she were to ever want to get married I would be fine with that as long as she didn't change.

If she does fall in love eventually, of course that's cool. One can in fact marry and retain her independence. ;) Merida's not the type to change herself for anyone else, even if she really did like a guy, so I don't think we'll ever have to worry about her morphing into the stereotypical post-marriage dull-and-boring person. I was glad, though, to have another princess film sans romantic relationship for the main character. It felt realistic.

It's the reason She's my fav Disney princess. She shows a girl can have a happy ending without a handsome prince, and doesn't have to weak :)

its the thing I like most about her! That the only love in her life is her horse! I also like how she isn't the damsel in distress

It hate for the creators to follow this sort of storyline, not every female protagonist has to have a love interest or such.

It seems boring for all the Disney Princesses to have a love interest. Not all people in real life end up married or even in a relationship, and there's nothing wrong with that, so it's nice to see more diversity in this area. I realise that Disney movies have a strong focus on love in general, but romance isn't the only type of love. I like the focus on her relationships with her various family members (the intense one with her mother than progresses throughout the story, the sweet one with her father, and the way her brothers get in on the action later in the movie).
