Books to Read Question

What are your most treasured books from childhood?

I'm a 90s kid so these titles may not mean anything to some of you but they are as follows:

The Turbulent Term Of Tyke Tiler by Gene Kemp ( best surprise ending EVER )

Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl ( Mr. Fox was a childhood hero of mine )

The Demon Headmaster by Gillian Cross ( the first book to ever really creep me out )

These books were responsible for inspiring my love of reading, without a doubt. The best thing was that they were all introduced and read to me by a teacher who was an amazingly gifted storyteller. Happy days ;-)

I'm a 90s baby. My most treasured possesions are my copies of the Harry Potter books. I became a Potterhead at the age of 5, when the first book came out. They inspired me to become a fantasy writer.

The Pippi Longstocking books. I'm a child of the 70's and I can't tell you how refreshing it was to have a smart-ass heroine.

Also, on my very first day of 3rd grade, my teacher randomly placed 2 books on each student's desk. As luck would have it, on my desk was a copy of "Beyond the PawPaw Trees"-which featured a self-sufficient girl who longed for adventure, and got it and a happy ending. I fell in love with this book and still have my battered old copy.
