Dearheart picked I watched a few minutes.:

From what little I saw, the dialog/acting was bad and the music was worse...but the story was still there and the characters were still fun and there were a few good moments. Kinda like the original anime, lol. :P

One thing I was fairly impressed by, though...aside from the fact that some of the wigs/hairstyles looked a bit fake and some of the costumes/props looked like cosplay, all the actors pulled off their characters looks very nicely. Their faces fit the parts really well, I think.

And besides, I don't think you're supposed to take these musicals too seriously. It's all for fun and fanservice. ;-)

And they've made like...what? Fifteen "Prince of Tennis" rock musicals? So...yeah. I guess it's not uncommon for them to take a popular anime and, er, musicalize it. XD
