The only reason I can find to explain why people dislike Hinamori is because of her relationship with Toshiro. Because saying she's useless...c'mon...how can such a lie be told??
In principle, Hinamori is a lieutenant and you don't get that seat just because of your pretty face. The girl's really skilled and a master of kido. She even fought Harribel's fracción better than Matsumoto (who most people praise) and she came to Karakura despite she hadn't completely recovered.
She's light years far from being weak and useless (unlike Inoue), besides she's pretty wise for her young age. Kubo wanted a character to experience mental distress, and that's why he put Momo in such situation because of her deep admiration towards Aizen. It was just acceptable for someone who was betrayed and let down by someone she adored to fall sick in bed for such a long time, don't you think?

I feel in the need to defend Momo because she's so underrated and that's totally not fair. She's powerful, capable, skilled, courageous, wise, kind and worthy.

people that dislike momo maybe is because what happen in ss arc, with the believing aizen stuff.
People that dislike orihime is because either because she loves ichigo and ichiruki fans hate her because she is in the way. Jealous of her having big boobs some say. Calling her weak but now she has improve,her sheild is stronger and can put up with more powerful attacks. Annoying many say, but it doesnt seem to bother me. I like orihime the way she is. I also like momo the way she is.

Unohana great theories on why people hate on why Orihime is hated but mostly that's not the case! I'm an IchiRuki fan and because Orhime loves Ichigo is not why I don't like her! Or her big boobs for that matter. I men she's just an anime character. -.-
And see why people would dislike Momo-chan, but I find the best in her!

@unohana: I personally don't hate Inoue for being 'kind-hearted'. In fact, one of the only things that I do praise in her is her optimism and positivity.
However, I do HATE her because of how useless she is. All the other characters are so determined and brave, but she only manages to get in trouble and make her 'friends' get hurt when trying to save her. When they go in a mission or adventure, all the other characters help and defeat enemies and all that stuff but she just clings to them and spoils it. She always manages to get kidnapped.
She's a hindrance more than an ally. As shown in many moments of the series.
She is supposed to have the ability of healing, attacking and protecting. But she hasn't developed it! And that kinda annoys me, because all the other characters have improved themselves but Inoue is so so so...slow-witted and dullish! WTF is she thinking? Improve yourself, girl! Improve!

Ichigo, Rukia, Uryu and Chado are also kind-hearted and noble and you know something? I LOVE THEM!
The difference is that they are NOT silly, clingy, depending or useless!

Oh! And I love Momo! She is obviously useful and helpful, Also she's nice and cute! And she has got determination, unlike 'someone'.
I really don't see why people hate Hinamori.

she is not useless, if she was like the other characters it would be boring. All characters have to be different or else the story gets boring. She heals, thats not useless. She bought ichigo back from the dead not once but twice. If she is as useless as you say than why is ichigo still alive?

Okay i actually like Momo i think she's pretty well written in a way. As for orihime these are the thigns i like:
- Is sweet, kind hearted.
- Provides some comedic releif ( even though i HATE the type she provides stupidity and fan service...)
- her healing ability.
That's pretty much it i find her pretty annoying, especially when she does nothing but whine and yell "KUROSAKI SAN!!! " every five seconds in a fight.
She's one of the few female characters that i think portray women in a bad light. I feel that most are very strong and show feminism.
Sorry if any Orihime fans were offended by this it's just my opinion. I don't hate her really just dislike her the most out of these.

Actually I can't think of any female character in Bleach,that I don't like-they all make the series in their own way.

those who say that Inoue's useless think a little, will u? she's far from useless the only thing that makes ppl think so is because she's so kind. too kind. almost like Hinamori she doesn't want to fight & she doesn't have that killer intent.
but unlike Hinamori she can't hurt anyone, even when her friends r in danger. she only sees good in ppl.

and Hinamori is (as already stated) a lieutenant. u don't get to be a lieutenant for nothing. if Kubo decided to make Hinamori really shine like other characters u would all see that she's actually quite powerful. i guess he doesn't do that since that would in some ways go against her personality. like i've already mentioned she doesn't like fighting & if possible, she avoids it.

First of all, Momo is SO awesome! She's a lieutenant, an expert in using magic, and very kind hearted! I really like her character and even though she isn't one of the main characters she's still great. :) Yes, she had her weak moments, but really? I mean, can anybody name at least one character from Bleach that didn't have a weak moment? Also, if she was weak, she would have NEVER been a lieutenant. She's a strong person with strong ability's and people should stop calling her useless. :(

As for Orihime, she's like the doctor in the manga/anime. Without her, half of the characters would have been badly hurt. She heals them, and in what way is that useless? She's also one of the happiest and kindest character in Bleach! Yes, she can sometimes be kind of annoying, but you have to remember that everyone has flaws. Ichigo has flaws, Rukia has flaws, ishida has flaws, Sado, Renji, Toshiro, Yoruichi, Kisuke, Byakuya, the list goes on and on.

I don't hate her, but I certainly don't like her, either. She was pretty damn useless... She may be a Vice-Captain, but, let's face it, she was only chosen because Aizen knew he could manipulate her, which he did. Secondly, she always needs Toshiro to save her, just like Orihime always needs Ichigo to save her. And, thirdly, the only useful thing she did was save Rangiku, who is more useless than she is.
