Skipping a generation could be the cause for the orange hair colour... A mixture of brown and black could result in orange after a couple of generations, especially given that brown hair would likely cause the black hair to disappear.
Because, with genetics, when you get a cross between a colour like brown and a colour like black, the recessive trait for their hair colour will be black and orange, because the two are recessive traits, while brown is a dominant trait of hair colour... The orange colour would come from a mixture between the brown and black. At least, I'm certain that's how it occurred... However, I'd rather not do research into genetics and hair colour, just for a Bleach question...
i dnt think masaki's hair is brown colour.............and the sides.............yuzu have orange hair tooooo.............its a genetic factor i guess.................
i say their hair colour r pretty much the same..............!!!

Yuzu's hair isn't orange it's like a light brown color like Masaki's
Well, I have a theory:
In the book, Ichigos mom was attacked by a hollow before she got pregnant with Ichigo, right?
The Hollow´s mask was white (as usual), his clothing was black - and his hair was bright. (due to all manga being uncoloured)
But such is Ichigos hair in the books - possible the Holow that attacked his Mom had orange hair...
