‘Big Hero 6′ Full Character Designs Leaked + Plot Changes? 

was released, everyone has been dying for more information. And the info is slowly trickling in.

The first scoop is regarding changes in the film’s plot. According to various Japanese news sites that posted about the film (titled “Bay Max”), Hiro’s parents are both dead. This happened when he was very young, so he had to go live with his brother Tadashi, who mysteriously disappears one day in an accident.

It’s no surprise that the Japanese outlets got slightly more information that the US. For example, with

, the marketing campaigns for those films were much darker than what we got here in the US.

Even though technically, little is known about the plot, Bleeding Cool News got wind of the plot and characters last year, which they worked with us to reveal on YouTube. In that iteration of the plot (from around Fall 2013), Hiro had a mom named Cass, who was still alive and part of the plot. Films, especially animated ones, go through many story changes even a few months before release, so it’s not disconcerting that this somewhat contradicts what was revealed last year.

here. The characters in this image seem legit, as they match the character designs that were leaked a while ago, as well as the character silhouettes that were revealed at D23.

 What are your thoughts about the plot change and characters final look?

Ah, the classic image for ants. Looks pretty good though. There’s definitely some Sentai going on there.

Anyway, going to miss Cass, but everything else in that article sounds great – especially the scene with Baymax and Hiro.

the only thing that looks off to me in the pic is Fred. im not really a big fan of his suit, but I might get used to it. the huge 3-eyed look looks weird. I hope its just a small-scaled look tho, coz I want Fredzilla to be gigantic and stomp around like a kaiju

I don’t think his is a suit… I think he literally turns into monster.

nope. its has already been confirmed that there wont be any supernatural powers for the main characters. all their powers will come from Hiro’s machines.

I am excited to see Honey Lemon up close! and also I like the plot change, it seems more detailed

we should all know that they had taken all the magic and powers away from the film. all their powers now come from Hiro’s machines, and Fred is wearing a robot suit.

So Disney has no imagination and is afraid that people would laugh at them if they didn’t make it a cheap Iron Man rip-off?

why would u think that? they want to ground the characters as normal human beings instead of supernatural characters. besides, it would be fun to see how their weapons and machines correspond to their original powers in the comics.
