When we get cramps, it's different for each and everyone of us. I've known some people who, when they get cramps hurt so bad that they have to take medicine to keep them from falling to the ground. I guess the best thing to do is to consult a doctor to see what ur body actually needs.

I found this on a website and i am posting the ones i find would be most effective in your case plus extra:

*Increase exercise. This will improve blood and oxygen circulation throughout the body, including the pelvis.
*Try not using tampons. Many women find tampons increase cramping.
*Avoid red meat and fatty foods.
*Avoid caffeine. It constricts blood vessels and increases tension.
*Take Midol or Pamprin with the symptoms.
Extra Help:
*Meditate, get a massage.
*Drink ginger root tea (especially if you experience fatigue).
*Put cayenne pepper on food. It is a vasodilator and improves circulation.
*Ovarian Kung Fu alleviates or even eliminates menstrual cramps and PMS, it also ensures smooth transition through menopause
-Hope This Helps!!
*Oh yeah and taking hot baths helps also!

I hate them so badly!!! Just about everyone has them. If you have them at school, just calm down. Trying getting to the nurse if possible. At home, take a warm bath and take Midol. It works magic.

We get them to due some sort of acidic buildup…I read this in the newspaper a year or so back, and I don’t remember exactly what it is, but if you take one ibuprofen a day for 3-4 days before it starts, cramps go away. I tried it, did it for two months, and I actually don’t get cramps anymore.

When out I find deep slow breathing and you consentrate on each breath. If at home hot water bottle and early night. Mind you I have had mine for 20 years now so I know it pretty well. What I find hard is those 10 days before when I ache and get into bad moods and crying for no reason that drives me mad.

Actually, I rarely have cramps. When I do, I just tough it out because they're never that bad o-o Weird, I know.
My sister, on the other hand, cramps really bad and she can't do anything but lie down and cry. If she takes midol, she gets sick later. Sometimes I wish I could switch places with her so she wouldn't have to go through that.

Well, if it's a school day, I personally just stay home from school. Mine always starts in the morning, so I know right away if I have it. I don't want to sound like a wimp who can't handle pain, but I don't even try to go to school. Ibuprofen or Advil doesn't work for me, because I also get lots of nausea along with cramps (so it basically feels like the equivalent of the stomach flu). Exercise doesn't help either because any type of physical activity, including simple tasks like walking, makes me feel like I'm going to throw up. It may sound stupid, but I really can't do anything. I just sit at home and wait for it to be over. All I can really say to anyone with the same problems is to avoid junk food.

you should be on birth control pills to make your periods lighter. Mine were exactly like that when i started my period at 13 and they put me on bc pills. Ever since they aren't more than 4-5 days and much lighter & less painful.

A plastic bottle with hot water placed on ur abdomen. Or- sit with ur face down on your belly,on the bed. Don't eat sugars just lots of liquids, fruits and vegetables. Try not to take pills for every minor pain. The body gets used 2 them, and in time u can become imune to medicines. So when you will really need it, these pills will be useless. If the crams are too painfull get up and take a walk.
