If it doesn't stay you can also wrap an ace bandage fairly tightly. What this does is it actually causes your body to sweat more and as everyone knows, sweat makes fat go away. The more you sweat the better. Now if that's going a bit too far for you, you can also take the time right before you fall asleep to squeezzze in a few sit ups or crunches. This is also a great time to get in some leg lifts and things like that. By doing this you also boost your metabolism for the night.
