Being a Woman Question

Going to sound like a strange question but please help.

Is it absolutely necessary to shave your vagina? I hear a lot of my friends talking about how much more guys will like you if you shave it for later in life and how much nicer it is. I've tried it, and will probably never do it again, but I don't want to be the nasty little freak girl who doesn't. Is it really necessary and that much prefered? Please help.

No, it's not necessary or natural AT ALL. This is a new fad that started because porn actresses started doing it. Don't feel pressured to do it if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Trimming for putting on a bikini is what most adult women do, but even that is your choice. Shaving causes razor burns (OUCH!) and could cause ingrown hairs.

Like I said, this is a new thing. My older friends are shocked by this new pressure put on young women that they didn't have to go through.
And it's actually your vulva, not vagina. Your vagina is the canal where babies come out of in childbirth.

If you feel pressured by anyone always remember it's your body and your life and you shouldn't be made to feel bad if you can't keep up with these ridicoulous pressures put not only on women but even on girls now to do these harsh things to themselves. Like new push up bikinis for tweens and exfoliator/anti aging cream for tweens! This is just getting out of hand IMHO.
