Andy was quite a bit younger than the 3 brothers and at first when he began performing wouldn't have fit in with their age group or musical ability. He wanted to prove himself as a performer in his own right before joining the Bee Gees when he was older. He became a real success with Barry often helping him write songs which became hits. He was a star in his own right but as well as he did and as many hits as he wracked up he could not seem to see how good he was or feel he was as good as his older brothers. sadly he was to join the Bee Gees just about the time he died.
