In the merchandise, she isn't so pretty as in the movie!

I think I like them equally, but I'm more familiar with her look in the movie.

I prefer her look in the movie but I like her new merchandise look better than her older look. She doesn't really look much like she does in the movie, but while some of the Princesses have been butchered in their redesigns I think Belle still looks beautiful. :)

I don't know why many peoples dislike her new form. But I also like the old one. And I love her new hairstyle.

Both are nice, but I actually think this one is more appealing. That said, it's also far more detailed. I mean, look at that hairstyle! Just thinking about trying to animate that makes me feel a little insane! So I think her aesthetic designs have both been put to the best use possible; the simpler one used in the film, so that the animators didn't get too tired drawing her again and again and she moves nicely throughout, and the newer, more detailed one for merchandise and not for a feature film!
