They just can't get them right in the storybooks. I mean, look at the Nutcracker one; it's a perfect example.

Oh yeah, I remember the palace of Nutcracker being more colorful than it actually is in the movie.

^Miss Major meant Major and Captain from N's storybook. Mattel are nuts for making them look like that in the book.

^Although you do have a point about the palace. Hell, barely ANYTHING in that book looks like the actual movie, with the possible exception of Clara, the children and the sleigh.

I have N, 3M and PCS storybooks...
In the N storybook, all images look like paintings, because the very first BMs storybooks were like that, and I love looking at those illustrations, because they're really beautiful for me. But the characters... well, Major Mint, Captain Candy, Pimm... no, I'd wanted them to look like in the movie.
Lou in the 3M book looks way younger than in the movie and quite odd... there are only two pics where he is kinda nice: the baloon ride one and the one where the girls become musketeers...
The PCS storybook's characters... just one word for it: the "pineapple hair" that aren't really pineapple-ish in the movie. I'd never wanted Delancy and Dame Devin to have the SAME hairstyle they have in the book.
About the others, I don't know...
The movies are better, that's what I wanted to say.
