"Aang we need to go NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed pulling Aang's hand and running.

"Why do we need to go?" He asked while running along side me.

"Just Because!!"

"Huh?"

"That person behind us scaring the living bananas out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And of course, Aang turned around. And there standing behind us was the girl. We waited for an anwser but none came. She still had her trench coat on but she had pulled off her hat. Black hair flowed down and lots of makeup designed her face.

"Who are you and why are you following us?" Aang said.

We waited for an answer but instead we got a strong jump of flaming fire dancing off her fingers.

"DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed while ripping off her jacket. Aang jumped and bended air towards her face to block away the unexpected fire.

I jumped down. This was the perfect time to practice my bending. On a huge jerk.

"You have no idea who your messing with!" I laughed out while kicking four different boulders in her direction.

Then Aang and I both jumped into a fight that lasted way longer than I expected.

Then the most unexpeted happened. Aang fell. The girl ran up to him and they started punching each other's faces but each blocked. A Karate master against another. Suddenly Aang's hat fell off.

"No......" The girl gasped while staring at Aang's face.

"It's a....a.....a.....marker?"

"No.....your the past avatar. Your avatar Aang!! My relatives have fought in centuries of wars to find you!! My ancestor tried to kill you!!"

"What?"

But she didn't anwser, and instead while he was distracted she pushed him to the ground.

"I don't know how you are alive, but I'm going to finish what my family started!" She reached out to slap his face, but I knew exactly what to do.

Aang had taught me this. And now was the time to use it. I reached down deeper inside of me, and opened up all my jucras. But one wouldn't leave. Sam danced in my mind. Her pretty little face, my face, and her perfect self. My over all best friend, my comforter, my twin sister, is what holds me to this earth. That jucra for me can't seem to close.

"I can't, I can't.......I CAN'T!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. The pain of a lightning strike filled my insides like a race car and I could almost see the energy bubble inside of me. I saw each and everyone of the past avatar's stand before me.

Korra then stood in front of my strangled little body. "Let go of Sam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I CAN'T!!!!!" I screamed again, then I saw another image. It was Sam and I as toddlers, playing around in the grass. I slipped around on Zach's shoulder's while Sam sat on Eli's. We were laughing and playing, but then the image changed to me now. Around me life was paused.

I had to let go of her. She was my best friend, and I had to let go.

I took a deep breath, and saw myself pushing Sam aside. My last jucra was opened.

"Why is being an Avatar so DIFFICULT!?!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as the avatar state energy took over me.

"HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as I kicked the girls face. I spit at her eyes and froze them then I created a gigantic air ball that overflowed my body. Then I could fly freely. I threw fire balls at her that burned her scalp.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"I'm protecting Aang!!"

"How can you do that?!"

"I'm the modern avatar honey, face the truth."

Chapter four: Waking up in a hospital

After the fight, I don't remember much. I do remember being asleep. I was in the middle of a very weird dream.

In the dream, I was meditating in a red robe, and next to me was a man just like the man in the painting at Toph's house. It was Aang, meditating with me. A flying lemur/monkey thing jumped onto my shoulder and I woke from the meditation. Aang did as well. Aang spoke to me, saying to look into the forest which we were in. I saw millions of Asian people in robes. Some had blue arrows on their heads. Some wore fire nation clothing. Aang explained that...

Chapter three: Crazy things

After school Hayden, Eli, and me walked around the school to the place we always met my twin before we biked to karate class. I never see Sam in the day, all her classes are on the other side of the school, so I never see her.

When we passed the school's border line, we found Sam, laying on the snow covered grass in a yellow tank top, a blue mini skirt, some knee high black boots, and her brown identical hair to mine in three piggy tails. Yes, I know its weird for a girl to be wearing a tank top and skirt in the middle of fall but thats Sam for you. Most water benders...

Pre-warning: This is not about the avatar gang, this is a story about a boy that finds out that his ancesters were the avatar gang and that he's related to Aang and Katara. He's a water bender but everyone around him is normal making him special. Over the years the story of the avatar has changed and people think it's a myth and bending is a lost art now. Though there are some who are born benders and the avatar is still reborn into people they just don't know It and save the world in some way. Our hero's name is Michael Gavin and this is his story. I woke up to a beutiful morning to bad it...

Aang woke up with a quick start. He looked around the tiny camp fire at all his freind sleeping, and slowly his heart began to slow. He slid down Apaas side a stretched, trying his hardest not to wake anyone up, he tiptoed past Sokka, who was moaning in his sleep, " Please mister chicken i promise ill go vegie..". Smiling to himself he carried on his silent walk, he stopped a few metres from Tophs tent, and lightly as possible he jump from the ground and landed in a tree. Jumping from branch to branch he reached his destination, the edge of the cliff. he sat wide eyed waiting for the moment...

There on the floor lye a little boy, just laying there. Yue ran forward and made the little boy lay in her arms. Though as she began to inspect him she found a burn right on his neck. She gasped but before she do anything healers came to take her away. She turned to Zuko to see his expression. It was nothing but pure horror and shock. The next day it rained and was probably the most boring in the world. She could not visit Zuko because the healers told her they needed to test him and work on him. So there she sat, in front of my window watching the rain fall and just before it hit the ground turn to ice. I t was a magnifecent sight if you could see it turn to ice. Then she began to think. Was being with zuko right? Who burned the child yesterday? Could it had been zuko. What were the healers doing in zuko's room? . . . Did she belong here?

So I was reading a post on tumblr that got me thinking. Basic gist is that someone said Azula couldn’t do anything on her own. My initial thought was to dispute that but then I kind of thought about it and realized this person was kind of right. But not just about Azula. After really thinking about it I realized that none of the characters really can! Hear me out guys; I’m not saying that the Avatar characters are useless on their own, but they are so much stronger when they have others to help them out. In fact I’d like to argue that this is an intended theme in Avatar. Like these characters...

One of the things I noticed about Avatar is the significance of the spirit disguises. Each disguise speaks volumes about the character using it and reflects their personality sort of like their bending styles.

I’ll start with the Painted Lady and Katara;

The real Painted Lady was a lot of things for the people of Jang Hui. She was a protector. A healer. A beacon of hope. She was a water spirit with assumably a gentle heart.

This is not unlike Katara herself. One of Katara’s key character traits was her hopefulness and the hope she instilled in other people. And in assuming the persona...
