I woke up in the middle of the night, my clock said 2' AM. I don't know why I woke up but I did. Like if I didn't I would miss something important. I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. I groaned. I then heard a small rustle in the farrest corner from me. I don't really know what happened next my memories blurry, but, I think I went into some kind of adrenaline mode were I took the water out of the now moist air and I froze it into icicles pointing at that far corner. I then got out of bed without making sound and walked to the corner were the icicles were now pointing, waiting to be flung at whatever was in my room. My space. My home.
"Who or what are you!" I said in the most menacing voice I could muster at that late hour. "Well, I bring news to you grandson." The voice I heard was very old and sounded kind and didn't seem to bothered by the icicles now pointing at him.
"Wha... but your just an old man how could you get into a locked apartment or somehow climb the five story highe building were in? Give some answers!" I continued.
"Well you are tired so I won't keep you awake any longer. A very distant cousin is about to be told she is the Avatar. She wi," "How do you know about the Avatar?" I asked now coming closer to get a better view with the light from the street lamps outside my window. "I was an Avatar," the old man said "I stopped a massive war by finding an alternative way to stop a mad man." He said calmly. "Wait," something clicked in my head. "Great times a million grandpa Aang?????????????? What????" I immediately turned the icicles to steam as I saw a tall thin very wrinkly old man with a distinctive blue arrow on his head. He also had a strange light blue aura around him, like he was a hologram. "It is you! Oh, Aang please forgive me for threatening you I just thought that you we," He raised his hand to quiet me. "It's okay you were just protecting yourself and your family. I would have done the same thing when I was your age. About... let's see... 4,384 years ago." I was stunned by the number. "Wait, didn't you tell me something about a cousin?"
"Yes I was, a cousin of yours is going to be told she's the Avatar. You will receive an invitation to meet her and when you do quickly become friends with her and protect her from any troubles that may cross your path."
"But if she's the Avatar than why would she need my protection?" Aang laughed. "Michael, you are Much more capable than what a normal water bender is capable of. You heard me ruffle my sleeve and had me cornered. And I'm an experienced Avatar." Aang sounded very excited. "I, I guess."
"Well, Michael you've been told and now she shall be told. You've actually seen this girl before." Aang started to fade into a mist. "Wait, I have so many questions."
"All in due time, all on due time." And at that he vanished. I immediately felt even more tired than usual. And I stumbled into bed. I had a lot to think about I didn't think I could get to sleep at that point. But, once my head hit the pillow I was snoozing away. I had a dream of me protecting the Avatar. ME, protecting the strongest person on Earth. Maybe it was all just a dream. (It wasn't just a dream.)
