1. Another had immense plot holes, intensely slow pacing, dull animation, and main characters that were cowards with no personalities. The only characters I liked at all were Teshigawara and Izumi.
2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann had messy animation and weak main characters. Kamina was yelling all the time, Yoko was nothing but fanservice material and was desperate for a man, and Nia was a Mary Sue with no special qualities.
3. Elfen Lied tried desperately to create the most insane, tragic characters ever, and this made them unrelatable and unrealistic. It inserted loads of nudity for no reason. The only quality of this anime I liked was the opening song, as it was unique and emotional.
4. DARLING in the FRANXX was nothing but "cool mechs" and "Zero Two's rump". It had no reasons to exist other than these and completely lacked any original plot or characters.
5. Attack on Titan had unique animation and good music, but obnoxious main characters and a boring plot. The entire first half of season one was claims about how they were going to beat the titans whilst simultaneously accomplishing nothing. Mikasa had no character other than being annoyingly obsessed with Eren and bragging about how strong she is, and Eren was a Gary Stu who picked fights every five minutes. Armin, Sasha, and Levi were okay though.

I like Another and Elfin Lied too. But AOT is one of my all time favorites. Don't know the other two.

TBH I didn't care for Eren as a lead at first (but I think he gets better as the show goes on). I also thought Armin was annoying at first (he gets some development and improvement too though). Mikasa I still don't care for. I have a thing for Annie lmao.

Annie isn't bad. She's actually interesting, unlike the primaries.

Tbh I feel like the background characters are more compelling than the mains. Annie, Ymir, Zoe, Sasha, etc. I feel like Annie and Ymir have some of the most complex stories alongside Bertholdt and Reiner.

I love Gurren Lagann. The rest I don't really care for.
