I can't really say..I've been watching for almost 4 years..there and there are times that i've been critical to some series like SAO..or Haganai (Sena particularly) there are times that i give anime a high core just because I enjoyed them lol

while i have become more aware of things like character arcs, animation, and overall presentation (plus becoming less willing to finish anime that just aren't grabbing my attention), i still tend to like dumb fun series and prioritize my enjoyment over maybe poor presentation or very poor writing. I do think my analytically of why i like the thing and won't stick with series if there is just too much that i can't overlook but i still like things that even fail my own standards of "they did a good job with that topic/arc" if i have an extreme emotional attachment to literally anything in the series. heck i even look for series that fall into my interests even if they look mediocre and try to give them a chance

Interesting Question! Well..after all these years of watching anime..I believe that I've become more aware of certain things (maybe even patterns in plots..) in series and points that I like and or don't in any given series there were times where I liked an anime initially but then the second time around I didn't get very far in it..because I guess my overall interest had changed compared to when I first watched it..It seems more like the ones that once thought were funny just weren't funny and seemed to be more silly also I mean I've seen anime that just didn't work for me.. So I guess I've become more selective for that reason because I used to watch basically any anime I heard about at that time (and which is a ton but I wouldn't say I got into all of them..and some I don't even remember there name and I normally have a pretty good memory haha)....also maybe my my taste in anime has also changed over the years-in so many ways.....Well there are a few I can I just love without being critical at all...so um I'm not sure :>
