I... am actually rlly disappointed in how the results turned out. I do not agree with some of the winners, especially AOTY and Best Animation (i'm salty abt Best Boy too but i'll let that one kinda slide..) Instead of basing things on actual merit it just turned out into one huge popularity contest 😒 They should've just renamed everything frikkin Yuri on Ice Awards instead smh. Like,, the only ones I was fine with were Best Action, Best Couple, Best Drama (of the choices that were present), Best Fight Scene, Best Girl, and I guess Best Hero too..
I'm not hating on YOI at all, I've seen the show & it is good, but did it srsly have to take literally HALF of the awards?? Let me put it bluntly, YOI is a good series but it is not Anime of the Year material, others series stand out more than it. And YOI beating MP100 in animation was just a really bad joke.. like,, LOL wtf... This was just.. bad.

^Yuri and Victor is are two very sweet characters, and it's actually quite important that we have more same sex realitionships in non shouen / shoujo ai anime.

I am absolutely pissed about drama, villian, heartwarming moment and art style. Those are completly ridiculous choices.

I actually haven't seen Boku no Hero Acadamia, but I think it makes alot of since Midoriya won Hero of the Year, since yeah, he is from Boku no Hero Acadamia after all :^) Yuri and Victor would be a close second ^^

Yeah in mai book Rem wins without contest. BUT WTF IS WITH ALL THE YURI ON ICE STUFF?!?!?!? BOI GET OVER IT YURI ON ICE IS NOT THAT SPECIAL!! I believe that the writer of this poll is COMPLETELY biased with Yuri on ice. ( and half of the awards were completely made up 🙄)The new Fairy Tail op should have won. And best fight should have come from Fairy Tail too or at least something that deserves it. I mean seriously the only awards I actually care about and approve of are best hero and best girl. ^ The results were all chosen by people across the West, which is clearly stated in the website and in this title. Obviously i was rly disappointed in the results in which i clearly had no control over.
I suggest informing yourself more rather than outright throwing out any accusations.

If it really came down to it, I have a few...mainly because I haven't cleared up enough time to watch a lot of the new anime. I liked Boku no Hero for Best Hero. Because it was epic! XD I also liked YURI!!! On Ice for best opening and couple....I liked the animation more at the earlier episodes, but the animation and budget costs had to be compromised for the show.....so. I still think the animation was great, but I haven't seen all the other great anime for 2016.

While I feel that YURI!!! On Ice didn't truly me the best for a few of the awards it was given, I also felt that it wa overall a great anime and I really enjoyed it. ^0^ Honestly, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards shouldn't be taken too seriously. :D The time slot allowed for voting turned the favor towards anime whose fanbases and craze were the highest in the WINTER. YURi!!! On Ice really debuted at just the right season. If the polling and votes had been taken in at a different time, the result would be way different. XD

Pretty much the "Awards" aren't reliable. Many awe-inspiring anime weren't even nominated. don't hate on an anime just because some of the good ones in the category didn't show. This kind of Awards system is very unlikely to give a fair view of all the great series. :) I love YURI!!! On Ice, and I'm happy that more people might watch it, but it makes me sad that not a lot of other anime got represented. Please don't tak it out on the fanbases and anime, guys...
