Honestly it don't matter. I like both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I like Brotherhood, don't get me wrong, but I felt more emotion for the characters in the original. I also felt the bond between Ed and Al was much stronger, it gave more development to certain characters (Lust, for example), and I just love the characters more in this one. I love them in Brotherhood too, but not as much as in the original. I just overall have much more of a preference for the original.
