And also a supporting character ^^ But mostly someone who is narrating or on whom most of the Anime is based on.

I always find out that in almost all the animes i see i tend to like more the supporting characters. I love them, and i tend to hate the main character. Yep, weird but some main characters are always depressed, or Mary sue, perfect and it's annoying. The supporting characters should be main, but at the end of the day they are supporting characters, sigh.

Favorite anime character is France, so I guess he is apart of the main cast.

The character just has to be epic, awesome and badass...I don't really care if it's part of the main cast. At present, my fave is Bleach's female lead character: Rukia. But before her, my fave one was a villain from another anime...

50% of the time, they are the character that I relate to the most and the other times, they are the ones I find to be the most intriguing.

I think my favorite character is usually just part of the main cast (like Azusa). Though sometimes I end up liking a supporting character.
