yeah, ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend characters are pretty rare. most anime romantic comedies involve girls or guys who've never had a boyfriend or girlfriend before, and then suddenly the opposite sex mysteriously finds them irresistable. best they can hope for is a childhood friend.

Lol yea it's funny how that seems to work out isnt it. and even if they make it obvious that one of the characters has had previous relationships, the people they dated never show up at all, it's just like they disappeared from the planet the moment they broke up.
