Anime Question

An anime character whose english dub name (assuming that names were changed at all) is better than his/her original japanese name?

Before anyone thinks of spouting it, I don't want to hear the "japanese names are always better" bullcrap.

Anyways, in Transformers: Robots in Disguise, the Decepticons (called "Destrons" in japanese) can combine to form a much larger robot. The robot's original japanese name is Barudigus (which sounds similar to link). However, when Saban dubbed the show and changed the names of almost every character, they gave "Barudigus" the much more awesome-sounding name of "Ruination".

In death note I'm pretty sure Light's name is Raito in the Japanese version because raito means light in english... or something like that?
Anyway I like the name 'Light' better!
