Well whenever DtB is mentioned, Phantom always pops up eventually
Another series I consider somewhat similar is Ga-Rei-Zero (especially in terms of how much depth both series give to their characters, and how both series aren't afraid to kill loved characters)

The Question didnt say the same genre. An what others have posted are along the same lines as Darker Than Black as far as anime style, characters, plot, an story complexity the one u mention is something else that would fall into that category so kudos on your choice :)
well I don't see how Samurai 7, Blue Exorcist are like it; Durarara!! I guess in how it builds up a large cast of characters and gives then a lot of depth, but outside, don't see the similarity; I can kind of see the similarity with Sins, but I personally disliked that series [check articles to see my review on it]
