What's the saddest anime episode you know?

Any anime, any episode.
For me, so far, it's Death Note episode 7. That was such a heartbreaking ending... this episode alone made me reconsider watching Death Note at all again.

Oh, and episode 7 was sad too. Poor Naomi. If Light hadn't killed her, then a lot of people in Death Note would probably still be alive.

He's easily my favorite non-alchemist from the show. I was cheering Mustang on the whole time when he was killing Envy. I don't care if he goes insane from that, I wanted to see Envy die the most brutal and fitting death possible for killing Hughes.

Sword Art Online episode 3, The Red Nosed Reindeer ending. When Kirito receives the Christmas message from Sachi & she ends it by humming Rudolf the rednosed reindeer to him. That scene hits me hard whenever I even think about it. Its a sad, and extremely heart felt scene.

The episode of Pokemon when Ash and his pokemon were on the ice mountain and had to hide from the blizzard. It was cold so all of his pokemon came out of their pokeballs to help warm each other up and protect Ash from freezing. (can't remember the number of the episode though...)
