Lieutenant Colonel Hughes from FMA most definitely,the way he went was horrifying to watch,especially very a loving,funny and good tempered man,the way he loved his family was just amazing and how always used to show off pictures of his daughter Elecia and even his wife Gracia..It was just so sad to see such a good guy go so badly!T.T

I had just finished watching Daughter of Evil when I watched that... and I was thinking Prisoner and Paper Plane couldn't be sadder... I was wrong TT_TT and damn it you stole my answer XD
...Ugh, so many characters dying... Well... Since I am in a depressed mode right now I will give you 2 characters.
The first one is Gin from Hotarubi no Mori E. I cried so much when I saw this movie. His death scene was the first scene I ever watched from this movie and I cannot watch it without crying. So I am never watching it again. It is a beautiful movie though.
And the number two death (I am currently crying about) is Shaiapouf's from Hunter X Hunter. I know that many people don't like Pouf and I can undesrtand that. However, I can't help but sympathise so much with him, that it's impossible not to cry... So there you go...
In Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai when Keiichi died I was fucking tears..I felt so sorry for Mion :"(( And then in the end with Satoko and Shion...Gosh...This was so so saddddd...But in the original series (Ni) I did not cry in any of the deaths..they were just to creepy..But here in the Minagoroshi-hen I cried like a baby :"((
Nina and Alexander, Shou Tucker (FMA)'s daughter and canine who were sacrificed for Shou's "experiment" which ultimately killed them, broke my heart and I cried a lot.

omg i wished she wouldn't have died in both series
shirley but let me explain myself. i do like her and i didn't really think she was as annoying as everyone thought(as stated the oneof the only reason people dislike her is cause they think cc or kallen should have lelouch but once again she was there first) but i always cry when a person is crying while their dying and when they keep saying i,m sorry and i love you and always will T^T

Hmm the only character i can remember crying when they died was Mariko from Elfen Lied. when she just met up with her dad for the first time in 5 years(she's 5 btw) ..then she blew up...

For me it was Misuzu Kamio's death from Air! Oh gosh, I cried the hardest when she died! The other three I cried really hard at were Lelouch's death in Code Geass, Mariko's death in Elfen Lied, and Yomi's death in Ga Rei Zero! TT.TT

I cried a lot when Ciel died or when Sebastian was going to kill Ciel for his soul.And also because it was the end of season 1.At that time I didn't know there was Season 2 for Kuroshitsuji.So I cried alot thinking that it was the end of my fav anime.

Luckily, he was revived, but Al sacrificed him life for Ed's. And then Ed sacrificed his life for Al's, and then they both lived on opposite sides of the gate.
The number one saddest death for me is Misuzu Kamio from AIR TV. The placement and the idea of her reaching her goal just broke my heart into a million of pieces.
I also found Lelouch Lamperouge's death in Code Geass quite sad in the fact that it was his atonement and sacrifice (I couldn't decide which one to put between Shirley's passing and Lelouch's but this one hit me right when I saw it while with Shirley's I was in shock for like ten minutes then I bursted into tears).
Enma Ai's death in the first season of Jigoku Shoujo shown in her past really hit me because she was just an innocent girl whose parents didn't want to sacrifice to the village gods. Her death is what caused her to go mad and make a contract with Enma to become Hell Girl.

Ayumi from Kaze no Stigma. I didn't actually cry, cry but i did tear up. (And of course it didn't help that Ren's so effin adorable!)
Mello from Death Note. My favorite characters almost always end up dying. All he wanted was to be better than Near, and catch Kira. Usually I don't end up crying during anime deaths, but it's worse if there are multiple deaths in the same episode.
Hide from Tokyo Ghoul. I'm still crying.. seeing Kaneki carrying him while 'unravel' is playing in the background.. and my family thinks I'm crazy for crying over a character.
In all honesty, while the other people who have watched Death Note put L, L's death never made me cry. It made me feel empty and then incredibly angry.
Light's dad, when he died, on the other hand, made me bawl my goddamn eyes out...
Mello's was sad, too, but didn't really make me cry.
