Watch Hunter X Hunter 2011 AND 1999. They both are great, emotionally driven, and have a deep story. The battles are strategy-based. Also, I would recommend you first watch Hunter X Hunter 2011, lovely art and a lot more based on the manga, also, surprise, surprise!! No fillers! The 1999 does have fillers, and is not thoroughly based on the manga, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
