I think it depends. On one hand it's been said that Angel always won the fights between them, on another Spike defeated him in the episode Destiny. He's also killed two slayers while Angelus has killed none.

I think it would be different for every fight. Sometimes it might be Angel, other times it might be Spike.

angelus used to eb able to win spike but spike has grown and improved since then and beat angel over the thing that angel wanted most in destiny

Yeah. I think it really depends with the two of them, I think they are pretty much evenly matched now.

hmm... I been thinking a lot of them , that´s way I made this question.
Angelus was always the lider of there gang and when I compare him and spike he was the stronger one.
Angelus never even didnt try to kill any slayer , while spike did because he wonted despretly to show Angelus that he is worth beeing a part of them.
But if Angelus had intention to kill slayer I dont have a daute that he wouldn´t kill here.

But looking now .. I really dont know who would win .. The true is that Spike defeated Angel in that episode.. but somehow I still daute that spike is the stronger one.

It's called Destiny and it's a brilliant episode. Spike wins because he wants it more. One of the most brilliant things ever said about Spike was in a comic, by Angel, "Guy I knew didn't think a fight was any fun unless the odds were stacked against him." That is so true, that and he just doesn't give up, never.

That is true, Spike never ran away from a fight and preferred when it wasn't sure that he could win the fight. That's why he fought slayers. Because he wanted a fight he didn't know he was going to win, just like he tells Angelus in Fool For Love, when he asks him, "Don't you ever get tired of fights you know your going to win." That is a brillaint thing to say about Spike, especially coming from Angel.

And Spike is a very exceptional fighter, Buffy once called him the strongest one they had during the war with the fight, placing him above Faith.

I love Destiny, it's probably one of the most brilliant Angel episodes I've ever seen.

Angel and Spike can be different but the same. Angel didnt really have the intention to kill any slayer per say. he wanted to torture them and they would eentually die. spike just kile them and walkd off. Angelus had a dimented way of killing people, when spike just killed them regularly...

I realise that Angel loses to Spike in Destiny but I'd defo back Angel if it came to an all out scrap between them...as close as it would be because they're both hard as nails.

Destiny is brilliant though, love that episode. Angel S5 is sooooooooooo good.

Angel in season 5 not so hot , as in seasons before that. like him more when he was younger. Like in that scene whit buffy and there first kiss .. so cute, and hot!!!
