I love all five seasons in their own way, my ranking would be:
5: Season 1
4: Season 5
3: Season 2
2: Season 3
1: Season 4

tough between 1 and 2 for me!

Season 5 had so much more for me, it was more interesting to watch. But I love the newness of season 1, so that would be my second choice. But season 3 and 4, I really don't like, the storylines felt so fake and forced.

i didn't like the last season it seemed to be rushed and the ending just wasn't what it should have been.

I onlt don't like season 4 + 5. They r so s**t

That was HARD! It was a tie between Season 1 (Bangel moments)- Season 4 (Wesley was HOT!..and some Wes/Fred moments)- Season 5 (Just plain old funny. Plus some climatic episodes)

Five was just unbeatable, great arc and the final two episodes were outrageously good. Season 4 is just ruined by Jasmine...rubbish.

Gonna have to say season 5 but then season 1 is a close second. season 4 was my least favorite (sorry season 4).

JammyG remeber that there was going to be another season after seaosn 5, it just canceled for some reason.

i loved all seasons except 5 i completely agree with jammyG the season had no good storylines 4 me anyway where as season 4 had the conner/cordy the beast and jasmine storyline

five and two for me. Spike coming into the show just gave the show alot of humor. After season four, some humor was really needed after all of the horrid drama they had all gone through.

I really love season 5. The other seasons are great too. But with the last one it was great that Spike came into the show.

I hated season 4. Connor is ewwwww.

I hated season 4 because of the whole Jasmine story arc, it ruined everything.

Uh Spike is like mi favorite character evr... wen I found out that he waz going to b on Angel I freakd... Season 1 iz second cause of Doyle..... both r funy.

Cant beat a little bit of angelous! Season 4 had so many things going on. Cordy/conor, evil cordy, the beast, jasmine, angelous...oh and the return of Faith. And who doesnt love a leather clad beauty :P

And yeah i just realised i spelt it wrong :P whoops. i meant ANGELUS hehe

Angel is 1 of my fave shows, so it was really hrd, but “Smile Time” won it for me, i even bought the Angel puppet replica!

The season 4 Jasmine story woz s**t, it was a waste of a season.

I really liked the Jasmine storyline - I thought it was really interesting. Season 4 just has the best moments, and the most interesting character developments (e.g. when Fred and Gunn kill the prof, Angelus returning, Angel finding out about Cordy and Connor, etc.)

As I was looking one of the interwe whit Angel .. and he said that he loved the most acting in season 5 when there were any boys =P

I had a hard time choosing between season 1 & 5, but yeah season 5 is brill :)

Season five has Spike. He and Angel are awesome around each other. Plus, it's the season I started watching Angel in. After that would be season two, cause of Darla and Drusilla.

it was a tough choice between s1-3 season 4 started out ok but was awful by the end and season 5 was even worse

season 5 without a doubt- loved that season

I almost picked Season 2 for all those amazing Krevlorneswath episodes at the end.

I love this season! He looks his best and there is Buffy and Doyle;) Wes is his old funny self:P and things are not so extremely complicated!

I was captivated by season 4 but after I would watch an episode i would get so pissed because it is just so WRONG. ecverything was wrong. There was so many twists that you had no idea what was going on or what was happening next. people lost there memory got it back then lost it, people were evil then there not, people who arent eveil are thought to be evil?????? The twists would have been okay if they were toned down and kept out of serious issues. The writers were putting spins on things that didnt need to be tampered with. Such as, dont you guys think that apocalypse came pretty freakin fast, and then there is a whole episode that was a dream or something of angels and he is actually angelus!. Then there was the whole Cordeila all of sudden sleeping with Conner, I didnt see that coming nor wanted it too. Then BAM she is evil pyscho bitch and kills LILAH! and wesley of course puts the moves on Fred and after that it took about ten seconds for them to say gunn and fred are over, wesley and fred are in. I am so mad at this season and its only on epipode: long days journey!!!!!!!!

Season 2 (After gettin established the show hit its stride. With Gunn/Wes comedy, Darla&Drusilla, and the trip to another dimension,Fantastic!)****

Season 1 (Good first season for a show just finding its own identity, but great character intros, guest spots and Doyle make it a good Season)***

Season 5 (Good twist but no real heart, feels rushed probably due to cancellation, they made 90% of the show about Spike&Angel and we lose the rest of the cast in the mix, could have been better if they had more time)***

Season 4 (Writers trying to do too much and just screwing characters up(too much flip-flopping). Poor villians, Connor is akward and frustrating, no real Cordy, Dark Wesley, Gunn/Fred-breakup, and finale was weak started promising but went downhill. The only good parts are guest spots by Faith&Willow)**

I picked season 1 because I liked the start of Angel investigations and the easy story plot at the beginning, but I also like the other seasons and i think it was important to get a more complex story line to keep the series going and to give the different characters the chance to develope themselves

i dont't really like season 4, because of the whole jasmine story

I think the best one was season 4. It had the beast, the world falling in love with Jasmine, Angelus and at the end Angel becomes the boss of the company he spent 4 years trying to bring down. But i did'nt like that Conner went with Cordelia or that the writers turned her evil.

I luv all seasons but seasons 1 and 5 were the best ever i luv season 5 because Spikes in it and season 1 has the best episodes the ones with Buffy and Wesley coming in and how Doyle sacrificed himself to save the world that episode Hero was brilliant.

Hated season 5. No wonder the show did not go on for another season. People just stopped atching it after cordy died. OI tried and watched about half of the eps in the season, but it just was such a torture for me. I could not go on with it, and Angel is so not hot in season 5. Not like in the other seasons anyways!

Never watched season 5 now I'm upset I could not get threw season 4. Wayyyyy too much chaos

OMG definetly season five, there is so many things happening in that season. + Spike is in like all of those episodes, he is so funny (and really HOT). i think that how Spike and Angel behave toward each other brought alot to the serie.

i find that in mosts series the last one is always the best

Season 4 the most cause angelus came back and faith was there to battle him plus when angelus was being awoken in the cell there was thunder and lightening outside my house : ) also jasmine frm hercules appeared in this season

This is kind of when the whole cangle thing really started so I would have to go with three. Then after that it would go four, five, one, and then two.

i didnt like the way season 5 ended , too many unanswered questions :P

1) Season 5- angel, Spike, humor, belly of the beast. C'mon, can it get any better? This one was awesome!
2) Season 1- a close second because of doyle. You know they were going to bring him back as a big bad, but gelnn quinn ****ing died?
3) Season 2 - The season was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't really brought to it's full potential, in my humble opinion. I liked it because it had Gunn character development but it could have been way better.
4) Season 3- It was OK, and better than season 4, but the darla thing didn't do anything for me, so it kinda ruined it for me. The whole fred thing was cool, though.
5) Season 4 - This season was good, but too many plot twists, they killed lilah and it just confused the hell out of me. The whole Connor and Cordelia having sex thing was gross, and then having a "proper" relationship was all squicky. The Jasmine thing was bad and stupid and i hated this season. The only good thing in it was Wesely and Lilah, cuz they're hot together and they're a good couple.

Loved all seasons but number one just with Doyle beside angel, it felt every other character was trying to replace Doyle in becoming closer to angel.

Season three, because I love the episodes and the storylines, and Cangel was perfect this season and Connor wasn't annoying yet and Wesley went dark. Everything was perfect.

Angel season two was my personal favorite, I loved all of the Angel seasons. This is my favorite television show. Two had it all, great plot, Lorne, Holland Manners, Lindsey and Lilah together again, and Darla and wonderfully executed character progressions.
my second favorite (and former first favorite) is season three.
