Malia on Crete
Malia on Crete
Learn ancient history while Greek island hopping? Yes, you can truly experience structures that are over three thousand years old within a few minutes’ walk from full service tourist beaches with deck chairs, umbrellas and water sports.

Those with an academic bent or who want to justify the trip expense as educational can include visits to sites they have studied in school and view the still standing architecture of ancient Greece. These sites include the historical foundation of our western culture: art, literature, democracy, you name it and you can see its early development in Greece.

Throughout Greece it is easy to get to the major sites such as Delphi, Corinth and Olympia. An excellent web site that details each location with photos, maps and diagrams is www.Visit-Ancient-Greece.com

It is on the Greek islands that the concept of “something for everyone” reaches its zenith. The ferry hub of Paros in the Cyclades is a perfect example. It is popular with island hoppers for the combination of that true Greek experience and many sandy beaches. Its central location made it a focal point of ancient civilization as well. There are remains from the Minoan and Mycenaean periods that pre-date those in Athens by many centuries. The Visit Ancient Greece site has three pages on the ancient history and antiquities of Paros.

Recent travelers to Greece have found that it is easy to bypass the turmoil around the capital in Athens. The local Greek people are making genuine effort to give visitors their “best vacation ever”. Learn about the birth place of western civilization while enjoying sandy beaches.

THIS IS VERY URGENT AND NOT A JOKE! ALSO DON'T GOOF OFF!!!!

I really mean it! What would you be able to do if SOPA/TPP censors the internet? What would you be able to do if writing fanfics and drawing fanarts become illegal? What would you do if it's illegal to do a cover of your favorite song on YouTube? What would you do if downloading things from the internet (music, movies, TV episodes, etc) became illegal? What would you do if SOPA/TPP wins the war and takes away internet freedom? Net Neutrality is already dead so far, we can't risk the freedom of internet...
