That rumor that Adam Lambert will slide into Simon Cowell's seat at the "American Idol" judges' table when Cowell vacates it after this season? Alas, it is false.
"I keep hearing the rumor too. Unfortunately, it's just a rumor," Lambert said during a recent live Web chat with MySpace Music UK. "I would be honored to be asked -- but I think at this point I'm just focusing on my career as a recording artist."
The 28-year-old singer, who is heading from London to Amsterdam on Tuesday, probably wouldn't mind finding some time to focus on his love life, either. "I have a fear of being alone -- not being alone by myself, but I want to fall in love, and grow old with somebody and I just sometimes get scared that it's not going to happen," he said.
Watch video footage from Lambert's MySpace interview -- in which he discusses his admiration for David Bowie, his favorite song to sing live, the artists he's most excited to have played alongside, his most embarrassing moment, why everyone thought he was "weird" in high school, and how he makes rhinestones stick -- below:
