I did like him in Robin Hood (completely over the top but well worth the viewing if only for that creepy yet somehow strangely sexy maneuver he used to get Maid Marion's legs open *LOL*) but I loved him more in every other movie :)
I honestly don't see why either. They tried making up for not having Alan in there with Russell Crowe. Sorry...not going to work. That movie is going to flop like a fish.
"Robin Hood steals rich people to give to the poor, but Alan Rickman steals the show in that movie." LOL!! Thats so true. They had to take some of Alan's scenes out of the movie, because his character was taking over Robin's spotlight. lol.
He stole the movie the minute he appeared outside Robin Hoods' fathers castle with the words "Loxley"
I reckon the best villains in movies/Tv are usually best played by British actors e.g Alan Rickman, Keith Allen Lily Allen's father who also played the Sheriff of Nottingham in the BBCtv series "Robin Hood) & Michael Des Barres (Murdoc from MacGyver). I know I've veered off course a bit with the other two actors, I was just giving some of you a clue.

One reason not to go to cinema for the new Robin Hood movie - no Alan!!!
I've been seeing the commercials for the new Robin Hood movie and I just laugh. Alan MADE the Prince of Thieves movie. No Alan? Not interested!
I can only add that there could be a lot of Robin Hoods, but there's only ONE Sheriff - Alan!!!
In all honestly, Alan the biggest reason I like Robin Hood. I thought Costner's performance was a total flop in that movie. Alan really carried it.
It was probably the first movie I actually saw Him in before HP.
