Lily pressed herself right next to glass, crying, letting the tears run down her face, not even trying to stop them. She watched as the colt was loaded into machine, and started to try and call out to him.
"NO!" she yelled, running to the door and wrenching it open, "STOP!!STOP!!" She immediately wished she hadn't opened the door. As she did, the man there smiled unpleasantly at her, and hit the flip.
She heard the colt cry out, and whinny anxiously to her. Tears streamed down her face as she ran to switch and tried to turn it off.
Nothing worked, and the horrible shredded came down. "AHHH!!!"...

Yep. That's right. If the BLM keeps rounding up wild horses at this pace, there won't be any mustangs to speak of in a decade or two.

Mustangs in America used to be plentiful. Millions of them ran all across the country. Yes. Across the WHOLE country. But, over the years, mustangs have tragically lost their homes, and the mustang population dropped dramatically.
