Advice Question

Why do parents stop me from doing what I love? They’re always the enemy when it comes to things like this. They’re always putting a wall, or pulling me down, stopping me from what I do best and what I love. Please help me.

Last year I joined the broadcasting team and our team went Regionals. Supposedly we'll be competing in other place like 3 hours or 2 hours away from home. But when my Mom heard that, she was like "No. You can't go."
So my team left town without me. A student replaced me to go to Regionals.

I cried in my room all night and it hurt me. Really.
I don't understand. I'm 16 already and a graduating student.

And there's this opportunity again and I asked my Mom about it. She had no comment on it but I can really tell if we went Regionals again, she won't allow me.

What can I do? Please help. </////3
I'm crying right now to be honest.

Look first thing I want to let you know that is our parent's always care for us therefore please take their words so seriously. Second thing you should talk to your mom about this you should tell her why you want to go there and what will you achieve from that and the main thing to make her believe you.You should share your opinion with her very gently and I think after that she will understand this.And is doesn't matter how old are you, you will be always be a child for your parents so just smile:)

I know how you feel. You really need to talk to your parents about how you feel. NO SCREAMING OR YELLING. Tell them calmly and if they still don't understand, there's really not much you can do. They're your parents and they have the ultimate rule over you until you're 18. Good luck!

Lol, I know that! Sorry, not funny. Prove to them that you are reposnible. You shouldn´t get angry or yell, cuz that will make you look childish and imature.
Make deals with them, like show them the website of your team (if you have one) or let them\an older sibling\friend\relative come with you.
