Okay, I have to say. There are a lot of reasons why PB can't be with Finn. But here are those that I think are valid:
1) She's too old for him. It's the most common and most valid. She's too old for him, which may be the reason why she keeps pushing him back. Remember in Too Young she said that she didn't want to grow up, she wanted to be 13, with Finn? She said she had a lot of fun and she couldn't do that anymore when she would turn 18. Most of you would say, "She just turn 13 again to be with Finn, so she could be happy," Um, excuse me, I'm not offending you or anything but have you ever thought about the catch that would come with it? If she turned 13 again, Lemongrab would rule the Candy Kingdom.
2) She may use her relationship with Finn for personal favors. Remember what happened in The Duke where in she turned green & bald? That's what I'm talking about. She said, "Finn, my flawless hero, bring the Duke to justice," See? She used Finn in their relationship (although they're not dating whatsoever).
3) She's not that adventurous. She isn't much the Finn type who likes to get down and dirty and end the day with bumps and bruises. She's the type who would like to take a date to a romantic candle-lit restaurant eating spaghetti while listening to classical music (yeah, I know. It's too much. Well, she IS a princess, for CRYING OUT LOUD!). If Finn took her to a date battling monsters or going on adventures that can hurt her, she would probably say that they go somewhere that doesn't involve battling and stuff.
Please don't offended here. I'm saying my opinion on why she can't date him. I'm not pointing out that she's bad at relationships. In fact, she has already dated somebody-Old Mr. Creampuff! Which, in fact, proves that she CAN date people, but pushes them back for valid reasons.
