Joshua, Margaret and Finn arrived at an old hotel really late. And when I say old, I mean really, really old. It looked as though it would collapse any second. But in a way, it was sort of charming if you looked past the cobwebs and dust.
They were all tired. As soon as they were checked in Joshua and Margaret left Finn in a bedroom that was connected to their room. Finn's room was a bit small-it just had a bed and a dresser, plus a window across the room from the bed. Finn went over to the window, but didn't really see anything because it was foggy.
Curious, Finn started to look through the dresser drawers. He found an old notebook. He opened it ans saw black and red scribbles page after page...after page. Finn immediately threw it back and closed the drawer. The starnge notebook gave him goosebumps.

Later, Finn woke up in the middle of the night because he heard someone whispering really fast. When he opened his eyes, the whispering disappeared. Finn thought it must have been just his imagination, but just as he was drifting back to sleep, Finn heard it again. And this time, it didn't stop when he opened his eyes.
Finn panicked. But he didn't dare to move. Finn shifted his eyes to where the sound was coming from someone-a girl with her back turned around him. She had long, messy hair and she was wearing a dirty blue dress.
As if on cue, she slowly turned to face Finn. Right before he closed his eyes, Finn saw a glimpse of her face. He couldn't get that image out his head even if he tried.

Eventually, Finn fell asleep despite the nagging feeling that the girl was watching him. The next day was just like any other family vacation (sorry, I didn't put Jake. -Emerald); they went to different tourist spots. But at the back of his mind, Finn knew that he was going to see that girl again.
And he did, when he woke up again in the middle of the night. But this time, she was closer-Finn could almost reach out and touch her. The night was darker and colder.
The ghost slowly turned to face Finn. He couldn't move. He couldn't even breathe.
She was pale and had black spots all over her body. Her lips were the color of blood and they were curved into a small, eerie smile. Her eyes were white all over, and they were fixed on Finn.
The girl stood up and took a step closer. She suddenly grabbed Finn's arm and pulled him toward her. She whispered in his ear, "I've been waiting for you. Don't worry, we'll be good friends..."
And the last thing Finn saw was her lips, those bloody lips, curling into a creepy smile.
