What are your opinions about Ice King's past?

I guess I feel a little bad because he was a normal, sane average dude with a girl he was in love with and he suddenly became a crazy, fucked up, old Ice King. But then again he was pretty stupid for fooling around and putting on a possessed crown. I dunno he's one of the characters that kinda annoys me since the same guy (Tom Kenny) who voiced the Ice King voiced SpongeBob too. I can't stand that kinda nasal, obnoxious loud voice. No offense to any1 who likes Ice King it's just my opinion. Marceline though I like considering in the episode I Remember You she is actually friends with Ice King and jams with him while every1 hates him.

The ice king has a really deep and sad past ..One thing he lost the love of his live Betty. Another thing is that he can't even remember marceline. I feel sad for Marcy. Simon was like a dad to her.
