Let the record show that these are based on my opinions of both the candidates and Game of Thrones characters. I am fully aware of how biased this article is, and you should be too. This was just for fun, and is meant to be taken lightly. K, I think that should about cover it. =P

"Power is power."
"Power is power."

Hillary Clinton as Cersei Lannister
Will do anything for power.
Married to a slut.
Very polarizing person.
Not very popular among the common people.
Won't let a scandal get her down.
The establishment tried to shame her for her (alleged) crimes. It didn't take.
Has connections. Lots of connections.
Is the reason we have to deal with the other one.

"If you give them your love, they will return it a thousandfold."
"If you give them your love, they will return it a thousandfold."

Jill Stein as Margaery Tyrell
Loves the people, is loved by the people.
Gets down into the trenches and earns her support.
The sweetest and liveliest of the candidates.
Green Party. Growing Strong. C'mon.

"We're all the same to them, meat for their army. But together we can beat them."
"We're all the same to them, meat for their army. But together we can beat them."

Gary Johnson as Jon Snow
Not a member of a respected house. (Or party.)
Weird. Awkward. Underestimated.
Immigrant-friendly.
Had a clash of ideals with his former party, was reborn as a Libertarian.
Wants to unite the people instead of further divide them.
Fights for the right for his countrymen to govern themselves.
Assumed by many to Know Nothing, Gary Johnson. (But he does know some things.)

"The king can do as he likes!"
"The king can do as he likes!"

Donald Trump as Joffrey Lannister
He's a bastard, but you better not tell him or his minions that.
A powerful bastard.
And probably the most hated king ever.
Born into money.
With a wicked sense of entitlement.
Uses his rich, powerful status to get whatever he wants.
And throws a fit when it doesn't go his way.
Terrible track record with women.

Bonus:
"I will answer injustice with justice."
"I will answer injustice with justice."

Bernie Sanders as Daenerys Targaryen
Started a revolution.
A candidate for the working man.
Loved, believed, and willingly followed by the people.
That white hair, y'all.

Once again, these are only my opinions. This was meant to be just a bit of fun, so please don't let this ruin Game of Thrones for you. =P

If you have different ideas about who represents which GOT character, I'd love to hear 'em.
Seth has some strong words for Hillary Clinton's new book "What Happened," which blames Bernie Sanders for paving the way for President Trump's "Crooked Hillary" campaign. Late Night with Seth Meyers, 6 Sept 2017.

This started off in a question format but turned into a rant. I'd still like to be illuminated as to what exactly people are referring to when they talk about "elites", though.

It seems that I were a businessman, born into privilege, making billions off the backs of the working class, stiffing contractors, avoiding tax, entrenching inequality - yet espousing bigoted views - I'm somehow a "champion" of the ordinary person and "in touch" with the populace.

However if I happen to have a law degree and hold socially progressive views - wanting healthcare even for the least fortunate, a competent...

Hasan Minhaj on people who support Donald Trump despite his bigotry.
Hasan Minhaj on people who support Donald Trump despite his bigotry.
I want to frame a letter I wrote to my Trump supporting fans on Facebook. I know them personally, and I know many Fanpop Trump supporters well enough to realize that they are rational, empathetic individuals. People who are not racist, xenophobic, or misogynistic.

They clearly did NOT vote for Trump for these reasons. No, not at all. They voted for Trump because of ideology (he's conservative), concerns over the Supreme Court (Hillary will just pick a liberal, and that lasts longer than a presidency), worries over policy (coal miners shouldn't have to worry about job security), or simply because...
