Hey XTinkerBellx and nmdis! so nice to see you guys again. I haven’t seen the latest movie “princess adventure” as I don’t currently have Netflix but I am looking forward to rewatching the old classics, it’s been a while and I’m feeling very nostalgic.over a year ago
@Olivia: Yep, as Lexie said that Barbie does show her femine side and still manages to do good deeds and be brave, funny, sporty or whatever she wants to be. Media portrays her as not a "good" ideal for kids but honestly as a person growing up watching BM I have developed this belief that I can look pretty , wear heels or not depending upon my mood and still play video games, programme and play sports. The main message of all of her movie is to be a good human which certainly the "social media" ignores. So I want them to revive the old BM so people can see the real her.over a year ago

I watched a great video to do with Amy schumer's live action barbie movie. I have added it to videos. I highly recommend you watch it if you are interested in sony's live action barbie movie, what it is about now and what it could have been.

There is something that is really confusing me...From a recent poll I just found out that Alexa from secret door is really disliked by most of you guys and I'm not sure why. I've watched the movie and did I miss something? Somebody said that its because Alexa is childish and irresponsible but I've watched the movie and I can't seem to think of any examples. If that's the case then Tori from PaP should DEFINITELY be on the list, she pulled some pretty shocking pranks.

I rewatched SD again yesterday and, yes, she's kinda childish but at least she has her nose in a book than pranking anyone. So yes, I agree and I don't understand it either.over a year ago
Alexa refuses to perform her duties, yes, but that has more to do with her being extremely shy than downright laziness. Tori was a brat at first, yes, and acts like a 5-year-old than a 17-year-old, but that's because she was sheltered all her life. Once she got out of the palace, she changed her worldview. Out of all the main characters, Tori probably has the most significant character development, and I appreciate that aspect about her. I don't hate Tori, Alexa, Kara, or any of the modern princesses. Flawed characters are a thing.over a year ago
Well, Alexa always avoid herself from her duties, that's why she was considered as irresponsible one. She instead run away to a secret door when her mother call her to continued the dance training. She is also childish, she act like 5-year-old girl instead of 17-year-old. Imagine about magic is something that only little kids would want to do. Yes, at first Tori is somewhat a brat, she is unpolite and pulled pranks but she learns from her experiences and tried to be more mature and responsible at the end, that's why she's better than Alexa.over a year ago
Thanks for sharing your views guys, really appreciate it! Yes I understand that Tori and Alexa are flawed characters. They are both similar in the way that they both don't like their princess responsibilities and run away from them. Tori just wants to have "fun" whereas Alexa is really shy, an introvert and a bookworm. I guess i could relate to Alexa more in that respect and thats why I really liked her. She loves reading and dreaming and imagining and wishes that she had magic and the things that she reads in books actually existed. This reminds me of myself when I was younger, to be honest I still would love to have magic because it'd be an escape from reality, whether that makes me childish or not, I dont know but I definitely can relate with Alexa more. And just like Tori, Alexa also learns from her experiences and you can see that change in the end where she is more confident and not socially anxious. So Alexa definitely does have character development just like Tori. :)over a year ago
I'll have respectfully disagree with Sparklefairy about Alexa. Yes, she runs away from her problems and pretend they don't exist, instead going to a fantasy world. That's not a healthy way to deal, that's for sure. But her trip in the secret world taught her to be more confident, and in the end, she was able to perform that dance routine her mother wanted in front of a crowd. She did grow, as a person.over a year ago
@MelodyLaurel: You are absolutely right about Alexa was changed after her experience in magical world but it doesn't much significant like Tori does. She just changed to be more confident while Tori does more. That's just my view.over a year ago
"Firefly" music video and lyric video have been released on the barbie youtube channel and I've added them to videos. It's a great song! Really excited about this movie!
