@TheTimmeh Because I think the animation is very bland and basic, the designs are generic and lame, the characters are either bland or annoying but either way are stereotypes, the jokes are horrible, it has a lot of random and stupid moments, a lot of plot points don't add up or develop the characters or the story, the story is pretty unfocused (though I hear it became more focused in season 2), and no matter how interesting the mystery is that doesn't make up for it's problems. I will admit that the idea is an interesting concept. The idea of two kids going to a town where there is a HUGE mystery, they are surrounded by colorful characters, and come across paranormal creatures and elements is a great idea. But the execution is done poorly. The idea doesn't make up for any of its problems. But I'm trying not to step on too many toes because I know a lot of people really love this show (for reasons that I don't get but to each their own). over a year ago

^ I respect your opinion, but if you haven't seen season two at all, I highly suggest you give it another try. It gets a lot more serious. The plot points don't seem to add up, but as the show goes on they all tie in together. The background art for Gravity Falls is some of the best art for any tv animated show. I highly suggest you give it another go, but you do you boo boo over a year ago

I love that show, especially its 2nd season. It's funny, interesting, edgier than other animated Disney shows, and has great, memorable characters and a story line that has some great moments. I also like the animation style and I love the setting and the fact that it is based on mystery. I like that it isn't afraid to be kind of dark at times but is always funny as well. I think it's one of the best made and most intelligently written animated shows at the moment. over a year ago

@Kataralover, season 1 was fine but it was nothing compared to season two, it is quite fantastic. If you haven't seen it, check it out because the few people I know who didn't like it at first changed their minds after watching season 2. It gets more serious, their are more surprises, it becomes darker and funnier, and the characters begin to develop more. The last two episodes are particularly great. I do respect your opinion though I disagree with you :) over a year ago
