As if Zayn Malik splitting from One Direction and going his own separate way musically wasn\'t painful enough​, details about his newly assembled band are coming out and if you were hoping that he may bring on Niall as his guitarist and Harry, Liam and Louis as his writing team and backing vocals, you are going to be disappointed.

Apparently, auditions for the former 1D member\'s band were held last month and the selections have been made by Zayn and his team, according to musical consultant Barry Squire\'s ​Facebook page.

Yep, we\'re as bloody confused by all of this as you probably are right now too. Is it real or is it just fanstasy? We just don\'t know, but it\'s still rather exciting.

A look at Barry\'s Facebook does make things seem fairly legit and if this info is to be believed, Zayn\'s band will be largely fronted by women (which is awesome). As soon as the news hit, the Directioner army went to work tracking them down on Twitter.

Here are his supposed guitarists, and once you get past them not being Niall, you have to admit look pretty amazing:

So yeah. His band is NOT One Direction. As much as that hurts, though, they all look super talented, and there\'s no doubt they\'ll kill it supporting Zayn on his new solo adventure.
