Delilah stood in the doorway, taking in the scene before her. Yxari was tapping her fingers, incredibly nervous about the surgery. Ana-Lysa was glaring, deadpan at the wall, only Yxari having any clue what she was thinking about. Light was sitting beside Yxari's bed, holding her other hand. She had no idea how to tell him that the surgery was to be done NOW. She had just returned from retrieving the guards. Ana-Lysa read her mind.
"Time's up, Ri," she said darkly. Delilah groaned when Light bristled.
"Nicolaus, pull out the other bed for Ana-Lysa. 'Natious... anesthesia. Gonzales, steralise the tools." Three prison guards entered the room, one carrying two tanks of noxious gas, one making his way to the sink with a briefcase in his hand, and the other walking over to the wall to pull out the second bed that no one really knew was there. Ana-Lysa hopped into the bed and lay still on her back, only moving to take Yxari's hand. Yxari stopped tapping her fingers and instead let her hand be taken. Delilah took Yxari's other side, her attitude shifting from playful nurse to hardened surgeon. A stand and a tray of tools appeared by her side, and a pair of masks slid over the faces of the Acid-Monsters. Yxari and Ana-Lysa slid out of consciousness and into the cradle of darkness.
"Sullen, let go," said Delilah in her lowest tone. Her eyes shifted to the serial killer beside her. For once in his lifetime, someone ordered him to release someone's hand. He didn't like it one bit, but the glare he was receiving was so uncharacteristic, that he gently let go of his girl's hand. Delilah smiled softly at him, then dropped it just as quick. Slipping on her latex gloves, she began to work.
The first incision was to Yxari's wrist. This opened the cavity that a glanduous mound of flesh once occupied. Light shuddered, a foreign motion to him. The second incision was to Ana-Lysa's, revealing the pulsating gland that still lie there. Delilah quivered, this moment a huge blur for her. She has no clue how she did it, but she completed the transplant. The last thing she remembered was stitching up both of their wrists, and Yxari gaining pigment in her skin by the second. Ana-Lysa's chest rose in rugged patterns. It wasn't long at all before her breathing stopped, and her body went limp.

Oh no...

Yxari's eyes fluttered open. She refused to look to her side, and Delilah knew that she knew. Was it because that the hand that was still held in her own was losing heat?... Did she already know?

Yxari's head whirrled and she thought back to before Delilah came back.

Ana-Lysa's last full statement to her was 'I'm going to die today. Yxari, your father raised you well. I love you, see you in another life'.

"I love you too," she said to the ceiling, tears running down her face.

Yxari made sure Light was in his cell, at least trying to go to sleep. She then went to sleep, herself, with the key under her pillow and another key left in the Infirmary. Delilah went back to her quarters or wherever she slept. Tomorrow was to be a big day.

Yxari was awoken bright and early-- the victims' families had just arrived. Light's family wasn't coming. The whole prison was in an uproar, like it always was on execution days. She slid the door open and saw Sid.
"Good morning, my dear!" he smiled. Despite having lost a very beneficial...

"Hey, Al, we must have gone through this fifty times already..."
"And we'll go through it another fifty, if that's what it takes... Nine-thirty, light's out, guard's making his rounds..."

The prison guard walked passed the cells, beating the night-stick into his hand. He looked in to the cell to ask why Albus Anguis hadn't shut off his light, but stopped when he saw him pouring steaming tea into a tin cup. Albus looked up and smiled. He picked up his cup and walked over to the bars.
"How you doin', Ferguson?" he asked.
    "Great,...

A pair of heterochromic eyes scanned the area. The stale air reeked of cattle, and the humidity didn't help. She should have picked a drier day. It would have been easier to accomplish what she had in store if the air was easier to breathe. Today wasn't going to be a good one.
Fox jumped out from the tree and internally sighed. The farm looked terrible. The barn looked as if the support was rotting and infested with termites, the tractor shed was about to collapse, and the house was a joke. The front porch was devoid of everything except beer bottles and a lawn chair. The stairs were creaky,...

"I don't care what you did. All I care about is her safety. It is all your fault that she ran off, so go get her back before I decide to wring out your neck. If she dies before you get to her, we will build the plane and leave you here to die. Go."
Cain scrambled after Weasel. Al massaged the bridge of his nose and leaned against the wall, keeping an eye out for the undead. Naz frowned.
"Why are you so... Nappy about her? I mean... She's WEASEL."
Al glared at him. "If I'm not supposed to protect my own family, then who?"...

Yxari was in daze by the time she reached the bottom. She slowly got up and looked around the small circular room she awoke in to find a door that lead out. She looked all around the room to no avail; until she noticed the coffee table in the far corner of the room behind her.

On the table were two small objects; a glass bottle with a card attached to it that said 'Drink me' and a decorated wooden box that said 'open me'. The box looked very regal and meant for upper class Victorians. While the bottle contradicted it by looking like a simple middle class beer bottle. She went to go examine and...

Naz happily trotted down the stairs, followed by Cain's revived body. Al pushed on Weasel's back softly to get her down the stairs. Once she touched the first one, she flew down the rest in a hurry. The laundry room was a complete mess. There were curtains stained with blood hanging from the ceiling, as well as body bags hanging by the feet. Weasel heard Cain at the end of the hall.
"Weasel! We need the key!" She weaved through the curtains to meet at the gated door which held the washing machine, only to be face-to-face with a zombie as big as Al. She screamed, and...

Yxari enjoyed and loathed her short time in England. She loved the peace that surrounded her, but she hated the silence that bestowed her every other hour. Maybe she was too used to the city, she had been living in one for as long as she could remember. She tried hard to enjoy the silence of the courtyard outside the large Gothic chapel she just walked through to tour; but to no avail.

Yxi sat under a sunroof on a park bench in the center of the beautiful and colorful garden. Marveling at the elegance of the technicolor-ed flowers swaying in the calm lukewarm wind, she sighed softly in relaxation....

Paris pulled the bow across the strings sullenly. He stared into the sunset and reminisced. It was that day. The first anniversary of Nara's death. His heart was heavy, and he got no work done today. It physically pained him to be productive. He just wanted to go home and cry. However, he stayed. For the sake of his company. Instead of leaving, he withdrew his violin from its box and began to play.

"You are my sweetest downfall..." he sang softly.

"I loved you first...
I loved you first...
Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth...
I have to go...
I have to go...
My hair was long when we...

She opened her eyes to a purple canopy and automatically wondered where she was. She blinked groggily, trying to force the sleep out of her eyes. Once she felt the familiar petting sensation on her head, her pupils contracted, and she broke into a cold sweat.
"Hello, Yxari, dear." She heard the sickeningly sweet voice of her brother's mother. "Nice to see you finally woke up."
She tried to keep her breathing regulated so that she wouldn't launch into a panic attack. "H-hello, Almodea..." She tilted her head slightly backwards to see the woman that had such a possessive hold on her. Almodea...

She shook herself free of those thoughts and began to board up windows. Weasel was somewhat content with herself for a while. She was beginning to relax until a certain green-haired menace began to skip around her. She frowned in confusion, and then felt aggravated. She couldn't even move, he skipped so quickly around her. She felt her self-control begin to bend. It was two years since Cain joined their trio. It was his fault they were sent to Alcatraz. It was his fault her best friend didn't like her anymore.
"All around the Mullberry bush, the monkey chased the Weasel~"...

-- Pop Rocks --

Kislyn had been new to the outside world for only 3 days now; but he's already completely lost with the new customs. For instance, why is it that girls from this generation enjoy wearing floral printed clothing; isn't that more for elderly women? He also despised those damn rubber shoes with the wholes in them; if memory served him correctly, Yxari said they're 'crocks'. But then there was the whole 'candy' thing, when he discovered the stuff, he was half interested; why, because it sounded really unhealthy.

Yxari, wanting him to get a taste of the world, kept on urging him...

Al was very curious at this point. He creeped about, looking for more buttons, with Weasel in tow. He looked in every corner, and made his way down the hall. He found Weasel's M14, and it was apparent that she didn't notice the door beside it when she came down here. Everyone had known about the door, but no-one really remembered it was there. Al groaned when the price to open it was '1000'. He opened it anyway, leading the way. He knew where the door went. It lead to some stairs, and the stairs led to the Cafeteria, once you jumped off of the catwalk, which was never permitted. With Weasel...

Weasel looked down at her hands. She began to panic when they were blue and transparent. She waved her arms around in fear, whimpering.
"Check this shit out!" called Cain. He was sending electrical currents through his fingertips, and was having fun by the look on his face. He was also blue. His eyes locked on Weasel and she stepped back. "Oh, Weeeaaaassseellll~...." She turned tail and sprinted down the hall of the jail, scared for her... life? Wait...
ZAP! She didn't have enough time to think. She jumped six feet in the...
