When Rachel was first introduced I thought she was pretty cool but I think they kind of wasted her character. They didn't do enough with her and she didn't seem to form much of a relationship with anyone but Lou and Teaspoon. And she was too quick to put herself down.

Emma was just so fiery! I loved her. I didn't realize how much until she was gone. Rachel just pales in comparison. Emma was fierce, independent, maternal but still young, wise, damaged and yet still loving. She had all the world-weary experience that Rachel seems to have but unlike Rachel she seems to have come through it with more self-confidence and a sense of self-worth. Which appeals to me more.

I didn't really like Emma. She went too overboard with stuff in my opinion. Did like Brett Cullen though.

Emma's my favorite... she was mom for them... gave them a real home...

When Emma left I was so mad, and really unsure about Rachel. But as her character grew I came to like her more.
