I sat on top of the counter watching Megan cook breakfast. She flipped pancakes a couple of times. She put the last plate on the counter.
"There, done! Now Nudge, could you go get your brother up?"
"Sure!" I leapt off and took off down the hallway. I opened the door to Fang's room, his arm was off the bed and he was snoring. I smiled, put my hands on his shoulders and shook him.
"FANG! GET UP! GET UP!" his eyes shot opened and he sat up.
"What is it?!?" he said with eyes full of shock.
"Nothing breakfast is ready." I trudged off smiling, when a pillow hit the back of my head.

"Explosives ready?" Violet stood behind Darien.
"Of course. This place is going to explode with shock" Darien smirked and set the timer.
"Now get back about 200 ft. Unless you wanna get blown to pieces." Darien walked back to the edge of the road across from Mt. Justice.
"And, NOW!"

I was walking toward the exit of the cave when it exploded, I was sent flying back slamming into Fang.
"What th-" a piece of ice went whizzing past his face. The rest of the team came running in.
"How did they blow up the entrance?!" Robin looked around for any intruders.
"I have no idea! Peyton isn't even smart enough to make or hook up explosives"
"I take offense to that bird boy." Peyton came in with Violet, Blaze and Darien following him. Fang growled staring at Darien.
"I should have known. You didn't want Peyton and Violet to go, even though they were backstabbing us. You're smart enough you plan you're own kidnapping, all those deaths were you weren't they!" Fangs voice was scratchy, and dry. It gave his words a bit of edginess. In a split second fang lunged himself at Darien. Dodging, he grabbed Fang by his arm and slammed him against the wall. I started dodging towards Blaze missing every fireball she threw at me. Artemis was standing in the middle of the room with her bow drew back, since Peyton called in recruits someone was fighting someone, except some team members were unconscious. I felt a sharp pain in my right wing, someone shot I folded them in fighting the pain. Darien had Fang pinned on the ground punching his face. No one looks like Fang- dark and still and dangerous, like he's daring you to set him off. But I'd seen him rock Angel when she'd hurt herself back at the school; I'd seen him smile in his sleep; I'd seen the deep, dark light in his eye as he leaned over me. I shook my head and pulled Darien off my brother. Swinging every chance I got. He dodged them and pinned me down sticking a syringe in my arm. I was being drug out of the cave. Fang got up and started running after me.
"FANG!" I struggled against my captor.
"Hold on Nudge! I'm coming!" he was 4 ft from me. I extended my arm for him to grab it when they shot him with a tranquilizer gun. He instantly dropped.
"FANG!! FANG! GET UP!!" tears streaked down my face as my scream pierced the empty cave.
"FANG! PLEASE!" his body got smaller and smaller and I was carried away from the cave.

After the long ride home, I walked to the cave where I had been staying for the last little while. I had covered the entrance with vines, but inside was bright thanks to the oil lanterns I purchased. I also picked this particular spot because it had a constant trickle of water slashing down the side of the cave wall. I crushed up some heart shaped herb to enhance my senses. I rubbed it on my palms and my face, then let it sit for a moment. Then, I rinsed it off, felling refreshed. Kid Flash zoomed in.
