Kyra woke up with an itch on her leg and her hands on her back. She scoffed, disgruntled, and leaned back against another warm figure. "This is why I need to carry a switchblade with me at all times, Dad," she muttered. Behind her, Dick chuckled softly.
Feeling the bindings on her wrists, she found the material was rough and thick, but was also cold. It was rope, but not a normal rope. It was made of something like steel. Kyra have to look at it to actually see it, though. But for now, she simply sat there, awkwardly tied to her brother, on... what was this? A boat? For once she took in her surroundings. She was, in fact, in the hull of a sailing ship, already rocking back and forth. Dim sunlight broke through the cracks in the ceiling above, flashing onto her bare feet. They'd taken nothing really. She could still feel her cell phone in her pocket, and the ear buds leading to her iPod were still in her ears. But for some reason, they'd taken her shoes. She stared at her feet, puzzled, when a trapdoor opened and sunlight flooded her. Thank god I'm wearing sunglasses, she thought. But even still she winced away. She felt Dick nearly giggling at her, himself being encased in shadows. As a masculine figure walked up to the both of them, she pinched her brother, making him stop laughing instantly and instead wincing in pain.
"Glad to see you two awake," someone said. It was a high voice, and clearly female. Kind of sugary sweet... it didn't belong to the figure in front of the two. As the door closed to the deck of the ship, Kyra's eyes adjusted to the new shadow. More feminine, curvy. Wearing something that resembled an olive green bathing suit. Kyra felt something rise behind her and slip off her hat and sunglasses. It then proceeded to pull her earphones out. "I think you know who I am... I certainly know who you two are." The figure laughed and leaned forward into the twin's faces.
"Huh. Poison Ivy?" She grinned evilly, and Dick simply smirked back. "What would you want with two kids? Money, fame..." She was looking at Kyra now, one eyebrow raised. "I've heard you're a smart girl, darling. I think you can figure it out."
"Revenge." She nodded. "Good. Want to hear a story?" Kyra shook her head no, and Ivy grasped the teenager's cheeks, sending a sharp pain through. "Well, you get to. Something you look forward to before you die." She pressed her nails into Dick's veins and some liquid surged out. Of course. It was just like Ivy to kill people with poison. That was her name, after all. "Okay, here we go!" She sat on the masculine figure, which the two figured out to be a simple plant. Ugh, Kyra thought. I really wish I had kept that switchblade.
