Young Justice Article: Angel of Vengeance Chapter 6

Chapter 6-

Alexa grinned, swiping the credit card as she purchased a very expensive diamond ring.

"That's worth a lot." Pamela said next to her, trying on a fur coat.

"I'm not selling it." Alexa replied.

Pamela smiled at her and went for another coat.

"Ooh! Here's one!" Pamela said. However, before she could put it on, a black-gloved hand grabbed hers.

"Do you have money for that Poison Ivy?" Batman asked.

Alexa went for her crossbow, bringing it up to aim.

"Why yes, Batman. Dick Grayson was kind enough to give them to us." Poison Ivy replied.

"I'm not sure he did it willingly." Robin said, dropping down next to the Caped Crusader.

"Wanna put that thing away?" Robin asked Alexa. "You could hurt someone little girl."

Alexa growled and shot a spray of arrows at the Dynamic Duo, who quickly took shelter behind a dressing room wall.

"Now you've done it." Batman said.

"Oh, lighten up already!" Robin replied, to which he earned a Batglare.

Robin stuck his hand around the corner to throw a Birdarang, but an expert shot knocked the weapon out of his hand and ailed him in his palm.

"Damn it!" he yelped, pulling his hand back. "She shot me!"

"What did you expect from a little girl?" Batman asked.

"Oh ha ha." Robin said dryly, pulling smoke pellets out of his belt.

He tossed the smoke grenades down and they detonated, creating a thick cloud of smoke. The Dynamic Duo charged. Batman spotted Poison Ivy and headed towards her while Robin took on Alexa.

Alexa blocked a blow to her stomach, and returned an unanswered one to Robin's face. She kneed him in the stomach and rammed her fist down on his head. The Boy Wonder collapsed to the ground.

"Ha." Alexa said, bending down and putting her knee on the back of the Boy Wonder. "Guess I'm not such a little girl after all."

"You're....still a crook." Robin said, and plunged the taser into her skin.

Alexa yelled in pain and fell to the floor, her body smoking. Upon seeing he rpartner defeated, Ivy took to running. Batman would have pursued, but his legs were tangled in vines.

Robin slid handcuffs on Alexa, who was still groaning from the pain and looked up at Batman.

"I got mine! What about-"

Batman glared at him, standing up and brushing vines off his suit.

"Nevermind." Robin said quickly.

"So what do we do with her now?" Robin asked.

"We?" Batman asked. "Youre carrying her to jail."

"You have got to be kidding me." Robin said.

"Get to it little birdie." Batman said, walking away.

I opened the door a crack and looked out. Nobody was awake. I opened it the rest of the way and flew out. I flew low to the ground. People would look out for things at head height, not flat against the ground. I flew to the mission room. I pulled up a computer screen and searched through the files. Cheshire’s had to be here somewhere.
“Where art thou Cheshire? If there is a file on here about you, don’t think I won’t find it” I muttered to myself
“Under Ch. Second file from the bottom” a voice said
“Thank’s” I said, forgetting I wasn’t supposed to be up.

I sat outside the bio ship, alone. I was the first one back, which was strange considering I was the last one informed.
‘Megan, is everything okay?’ I asked mentally
‘Thalia! We’re under attack! Cheshire woke and attacked us! She called in reinforcements too. We’re outnumbered. Super Boy and Artemis are down. We need back up. Call in the league. Tell them where the bomb is and where we are. Do not try to fight with us. It is a hopeless battle’ she ordered.

I walked out to find Cat in her uniform. She was wearing brown capris leggings and a cute brown top.

I grabbed my eye thick black eye liner and started to work on my secret identity. I drew Celtic designs around my eyes. I pulled on my black body suit and my skinny jeans. I pulled on some gloves and looked in the mirror. I looked, dare I say it, alright. I walked out to find Cat in her uniform. She was wearing brown capris leggings and a cute brown top. To make her identity a secret, she changed her eyes from blue to green. I wore black boots while Cat went bare foot.

I walked into the lounge to find a huge tree set up. When I say huge I mean the tip is shadowed by the ceiling. Megan Alex and Connor were starting to decorate. I grabbed a grappling hook and shot it into the rafters. Megan was telekinetically keeping a box of decorations up with her and Alex while Connor and Bat’s had their own box on the floor with them. "I hoped it wouldn't cost the weatherman his job."

Even though the weatherman had said it was going to be sunny, the sky was a cloudy gray. It was mostly my fault for making the air cooler, but nobody had to know.
Instead of flying up the mountain, I hiked it like a normal person. It gave me time to concentrate on my life, to wonder what would await me in the future.
