"Jenny?" Someone tapped me lightly on the shoulder.
Through my blurred vision, I couldn't make out who was talking to me.
"What's happening to her, Chris?" Victoria. That annoying voice would be known anywhere.
I didn't hear an answer from my brother, just a sad sigh.
Slowly, my hand felt what was around me. The soft fabric of a rug touched my back; I was still in the bathroom.
Suddenly, I felt an explosion from inside me. The air inside made me cough, making me taste the blood.
"She's losing too much blood; we have to get her to stop coughing." Was that...Batman?
"That still doesn't explain WHY she's coughing." My brother's voice sounded irritated.
I felt something under my head--it wasn't a pillow. I felt around again, my fingers touching a smooth surface.
And then... lips?
I struggled to open my eyes, ignoring the pain they were giving me. A familiar red-headed man looked down at me with a mask on.
"Red...Arrow?" I managed, before coughing again.
Batman turned my face toward him. "Do you know what Professor Hamilton injected you with?"
My head started spinning while I tried to remember. "Umm, Er-Erica said I was s'posed to get a Tetanus shot..."
My brother handed him his phone, and Batman was dialing a number. "Get me Hamilton," he said gruffly into the receiver.
A moment passed, and finally, I heard a faint voice on the other line.
"Oh my God..." Batman's voice was in awe.
"What did he say?" Christopher demanded, crouching beside him.
Batman ignored him. "We have to get her to a hospital. NOW!!"
I was being lifted up, and Red Arrow started running, with my siblings and Batman close behind.
"You're gonna be alright," I heard him say under his breath, just before I went under.
When I woke up again, bright lights flashed in my eyes, with lots of people talking amongst themselves. I tried sitting up, but lines restrained me.
"She's awake!" a nurse exclaimed.
I couldn't believe it. The Man of Steel was walking toward me!
"S-superman?" I struggled.
"Good Lord..." Professor Hamilton rushed to my side, with tears in his eyes. "Jeannette, I'm so sorry..."
"What happened?" I asked, feeling dizzy.
Superman sighed. "The case Professor Hamilton injected you with wasn't the Tetanus formula, but a sample of my blood."
Batman walked forward with a small X-ray in his hands. "Kryptonian blood is denser than human blood, which explains all the coughing.
"His blood cells are eating through the human cells, forcing them to come out the body. Now, we're going to inject you with anesthetic to begin the blood transfusion."
"Blood transfusion?!" I almost shouted. "Who's blood?"
"Your brother's. Just a sample though," he added quickly, seeing my expression. "With more human blood, the Kryptonian cells will become smaller."
A nurse set a capsule over my mouth.
"Wait!" I said before she pressed the button. "Vicky and Anna...where are they?"
"In the cafeteria. Your little sister was afraid to see what was happening."
Poor Vicky. "And my brother?"
"Right here." Christopher appeared behind the two men standing in front of me, his face guilty.
He looked solemnly at the nurse. "Look, I have to get ready, but you could handle this, right?"
I pointed my pinky at him. "We're the Thomases. We could handle anything."
He laughed and kissed my forehead. "I'll see you in the morning."
The nurse pressed the button on the capsule, which sprayed anesthetic gas around.
I waved at him before falling asleep once again.

"I don't wanna die!" the boy howled, digging his face into Revenge's knee.
"You have no say in the matter."
"I do." Revenge growled.
The assassin turned his head slightly before tossing a knife in Revenge's direction. It caught him in the chink in his armor. Literally. Revenge glared at the blood seeping from the wound. The black clad assassin continued his approach. Revenge punched him in the throat, crushing his windpipe, causing the man to stumble backwards.
"You wanna play with knives?" Revenge yelled. "Two can play at that game!"
For a second, the assassin couldn't breathe. Then, he stood up, rubbing his neck.
"No way." Revenge muttered, stepping back.
"Red Revenge. For interfering with the mission, you too shall feel the talons of the Court of Owls!"
Night of the Owls.
Coming Soon.

Prologue to Chapter Nine- "The Beginning of More Troubles"
"Delta Squad, check in."
"Artemis, in position."
"Beast Boy in position."
"Batgirl, in position."
"Wondergirl, in position."
"Kid Flash wishing he was at the buffet."
"Good. Maintain your positions. The show is about to start. Nightwing out."
"See? This transmission was picked up by security officials at the olympic celebration." G. Gordon Godfrey stepped in front of the image of the celebration in Rio De Janeiro. "Its obvious that this Nightwing was planning something. On top of that, Kid Flash admits that he would rather be eating than watching over some of the richest and most powerful men in the world!" Let's watch what else happened that day. See if you can find a connection with the heroes, and the murder."
